What's actually the point of asking these "experts" when Frankly no one knows what any of the decision making processes are?

 

We need a TMO style communication system to explain these decisions.

You are only classed as encroaching if you affect the play. So if you clear the ball etc which is what the Dortmund player did.

I always thought encroachment was if another player scores on a save or defender clears after a goalie saves it, not when a player just misses completely
