I don’t know if it’s just me or does anyone else think the prices of the kids kits are absolutely disgusting, in the times we are living in with a lot of families using food banks to survive and the club think it’s acceptable to charge £50 for a small child’s kit then charge and extra £15 for printing! Suppose to be getting kids into football but I just can’t see how this is right. All clubs should get together and charge no more than £25 for children’s kits in my opinion so every child has a chance of having one if they want one.

Depends if you got them from Adidas with 30% off like most of FT last month. 😂😂

The new printing prices are shite, I agree with that. My lad wanted Vardy 9 and I’ve had to pay more than double what it cost last year. Wanted him to get Dewsbury-Hall for value

Supply and demand.

If you don't want to buy your kid a kit because it's too expensive then don't buy one.

Football is a business and they will chage what people are prepared to pay like every other product related business.

Let's be honest it's not the kids moaning about how much a kit is it's the parents because they are the ones who are shelling out the dough.

Yes they are expensive buy so is everything these days.

More important things to moan about with the state the economy is in right now.

You have a choice.

Yes it's expensive but then so is

Petrol for the car to get to a match

Parking

Match ticket

Pint in pubs

Pint in ground and stale pie

Ect ect.

Nobody forces anyone to buy anything. That's the beauty of freewill.

Lots of cheaper second hand kits on ebay.

They'll keep bumping the price up until it reaches a level where sales drop significantly.

There is no Devine right for people to own football kits. Why would someone want to buy one if they are relying on food banks?

Yes they are disgusting. And the fact we have 3 kits is blatant exploitation by the manufacturers. It's not difficult to produce an away kit that has no colour clashes but having 3 kits means there's even more demand for anyone with City-mad kids. Even £20 per FULL kit would get them a profit.

Like everything else in this country, particularly at the moment, the prices are an absolute joke. Agree 100% and makes no sense when as you say they need that next generation to come through to sustain the club. Yes there’s all the tv income etc, but without fans football is nothing and not a sellable product abroad for tv. They’d do well to remember that occasionally.

I wonder what proportion merchandise is of income/turnover. Minuscule I bet.

Nothing about waiting until the end of the season of a “cheaper kit” kids kits shouldn’t be anywhere near 50 quid all I’m saying every kid no matter what team they support if they want one no matter what income there parents are on should be able to get them a kit

Go and support one of the big Six, you don’t know how lucky you are, is there another club in the premiership where the owners have given so much to the fans. Prices for tickets and shirts have been frozen season after season plus all the giveaways the club hand out, do you see other clubs doing it. Prices have increased for everyone even the club and that will always be past on to the fans. It’s now becoming more fashionable to wear shirts from previous seasons, it’s your choice at the end of the day the club are not charging anymore than other clubs in fact a lot less in most cases.

And there it is immediately. Guess that's why kits are always flogged off cheap at the end of the season, because the demand is so high!

Get the impression the club are benchmarking sales prices against other ‘top six’ clubs and then we’re moaning that we don’t have enough revenue to get a defender through the door. Just poor economics imo. If its about “sUpPly aNd DeMaNd” then drop the ****ing prices.

Never said just our club if you read what I said all clubs should get together with the premier league and cap the prices for children’s kits like they have done with away tickets they would sell more kits and make more money

Christ, this thread is depressing.

Some would thank the club for having a dog shit delivered to their address.

I didn't receive one! Do you have to be a season ticket holder to get one?

I don’t disagree that it’s too much money, however…

…in this thread we’re complaining about the club trying to generate as much revenue as possible, and in the rest of the forum we’re whinging about the club not having enough money to spend on players.

:dunno:

A few years back this  came up at the fcc.  It was pointed out hiw cheap it was to buy a kids liverpool shirt at sports direct.   Susan seemed to get it...these are the customers of the future.  This is especially true given we have a new shirt ecrry year.

When the shirt deals are done the club need to get kids kid sold at cost and with free printing

Revenue is done with new big sponsors something we fail very well at the profit margins in the shirts are ridiculous even if they sold the shirts at 25quid they would still be making huge profits kids shirts are becoming more expensive than a adults shirt it’s ridiculous
