I've critisied Brendan for a while now but resisted calling for him to go mainly due to the injuries last year giving him leeway.  However now I don't see any improvement and the mentality he is displaying is filtering through to the players so I am now definitely  Rodgers out

Had no interest in finding a stream for the game and laughed when I saw they'd gone in front.

 

Says it all really.

I hate laughing but I actually did when they scored the second, I already knew what was going to happen

done with sitting on the fence - we have the players, his tactics, line-up choices and man management are the problem

What pisses me off is the fact that if / when we sell these players , will the money be reinvested into the squad ? I doubt that very much & the longer it goes to the final day the harder it will be to replace the players we let leave. If a manager ain’t got the money to invest & loses good players how can he be expected to do well ? 
Name me a decent player Rodgers has signed when he had money available to him? Maybe top don’t trust him anymore, only time will tell

He’s taken City as far as he can and won’t no further, the only way Leicester go from here is down.. there is no attack anymore, brendan ball is just appallingly bad and teams are exploiting that.. taxi for Brendan now..

He has to go now, he's not capable of taking this squad any further and - to be honest - I think he's done enough and even hinted himself with his language to demonstrate why he'll never be the right manager for this football club.

 

Footballers need more than tactical coaching, they need more than footballing direction, they need more than passing drills and good combinations of play and all of the things that Rodgers is undoubtedly good at. They also need leadership, they need motivation, they need confidence, they need inspiration. There's a whole human side of football management that's been missing through near all of Rodgers' career and has haunted him in almost every job.

 

It's alright making memes about David Brent Brendan Rodgers but there's actually a truth behind this and that's that Brendan isn't really a people person. He doesn't really have much by way of presence or charisma, he speaks in awkward clichés, he stands on the touchline taking notes and applauding serenely and he never really emotes. Sure he's polite and well spoken but there's never any passion in him, there's no engagement. And that's how we play.

 

When he first came in, everyone was naturally buoyed. The squad were elated, they'd gotten rid of a dour, negative manager with no interest in attacking football and he'd been replaced with a guy that wanted us to attack at pace, play good systems of play and score goals. And it worked. Tails were up and we were sensational for the best part of a calendar year, finishing the season at a canter and racing in to second place come Christmas the following campaign. Then we got battered by Liverpool and Man City and for the first time we were rocked for confidence... and that was it. It's almost never come back.

 

For the rest of that season we fell in to rot and decline and ended up bottling the top four with a series of hilarious collapses and panic jobs. The only thing that got him to regain some composure in the squad was a summer reset but even in the following year, that vulnerability was there. Every time we dropped points or conceded a goal that vulnerability was there. We always looked one mistake, one slip away from the entire team's heads collectively dropping and that sense of hopelessness setting in.

 

You all know what I'm talking about. Consistently for the last two years there have been THOSE moments where you just know the heads have gone, you know a goal isn't coming from anywhere, you know the slide has set in. As soon as they scored the equaliser today with us having parked the bus you could see the energy and the belief drain out of the team. We've seen it time after time after time under his management. He has absolutely no idea how to tackle it, he's got no idea how to inspire confidence in these players, he doesn't know how to motivate them, he doesn't know how to lift them. 

 

So he'll come out and make the same complaint, how many times now have we heard "they lack experience." What Brendan Rodgers means when he says they lack experience is, "I want a squad of players of whom I don't need to manage the morale." He wants a team of established pros, of world class, elite athletes who can motivate themselves and never need lifting because they have unwavering self belief. He wants to be able to coach them football and not have to manage the mood, not have to keep their spirits lifted, not have to actually manage people.

 

But that's not what he's got. He's got a team of young guys that are looking to him for direction - and he's looking back at them and just offering them blame, throwing them under the bus in public because his hubris won't let him self reflect. And that's the kind of squad we're ALWAYS going to have. The nature of this football club means we're always going to be signing the next young talent with potential because that's what we've committed to do in the transfer market. When Tielemans, Maddison, Fofana, Soyuncu and co' are sold we're going to keep buying the next generation of young kids to train up and use this club as a stepping stone. 

 

So, I'm sorry Brendan, but if you can't lift them and mould them and inspire these kids with the confidence and the motivation they need to actually go out there and press and play without fear and not be shaken when we concede a goal or we drop points? Then we need a coach who can.

If you're going to bleat on and on about not being able to bring players in, then at least look to try something different on the pitch with what you have.  He doesn't even look bothered to do that.

Quite the opposite. I want us to succeed, which is why I want Rodgers to get sacked. If we lose we're one step closer to that.

 

I understand that's nuanced thinking, no problem if that's too much to get your head around.
