Desperately need some rain.

All the hard work I did earlier this year on establishing my new lawns is in danger of going to shit.

It's the bananas blowing in from South America on El Nuno.

That or Trump's master plan to turn everyone in Canada into a zombie, eh?

Honestly, if there was a zombie outbreak here, I'm not even sure I'd notice.

It should just be dormant and protecting itself. Once we get rain, it should spring back to life. If you pull on a bit and it resists rather than just breaking off, it's still alive and will be fine. If not, then you're right and it's gone to shit.

This is what it looked like outside at 1045am. Took from my bedroom.

Air quality map from the forest fires in Canada. My entire state is at hazardous levels. Unfortunately this is becoming an annual summer tradition in Michigan.

I was around in 1976 and I reckon this year is more extreme at least it feels that way

It's certainly not highly localised to Britain like it was then

The temperatures being seen in Europe now are awful

1976 as I remember it, was several weeks of a steady 28-ish degs.

This year and 4 years ago, the temperatures have been between 32 and 38 degs for a few days at a time then dropped for a few days then returned. It also feels more oppressively hot this time than I recall in 1976

Longest spell without rain for decades in some places can’t wait for a downpour

We have 3 water butts in our garden. We have been using water from 2 of them and they are quite depleted, the 3rd one has a lid and in May it was full from the spring rains. A couple days ago we took the lid off to get some water and it had all evaporated. All 200 litres of it. :(

Trump wants to tariff us for the smoke blowing into the states. As if we can also control the global wind patterns,  you know just shut the fans off lads!

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cwyq93j34lgo

For a guy who doesnt believe in global warming and then proceeding to complain about global warmings impact without realizing it....absolute bonkers.

Like we can help prevent lightening starting forest fires in (for the most part) largely uninhabited or hard to reach areas/communities. As if we want to breathe all this crap in.

Sure certain measure can be taken but global warming is playing a part and it's a global problem. They've got fooking forest brush fires in Florida but I don't see him complaining about that and wanting to tariff his home state.  ****.

Thank fook (today at least) in the greater toronto area we have received some intense bands of rain.

The world is a mad place.
