I thought he did okay yesterday to do be fair. I think a lot of people didn't fancy him after Kasper and will never fancy him unless he turns into prime Buffon. I still say that the pass back was on Wilf, absolutely no need to rifle a pass onto his weaker foot when he was under no pressure lol

He's definitely not put in a performance where he's shone yet though, he just strikes me as someone who is quite an average rounded keeper without any stand out qualities. Iversen should get an opportunity soon.

Awful keeper. Looked like Bambi out there. Shoot him into the sun in my opinion. Bring Kasper back. Or give iversen a chance. Looks like a deer in front of headlights

At the time £12m was far too much and it looks even worse now. We paid £24m for Ward and Ghezzal in the same summer lol

Unfortunately he dosen't inspire any confidence and the defence are nervy already.

Positioning is woeful. Kicks the ball out of play and nowhere near commanding enough. Half the time he just dives out the way. He's the poorest keeper in the league by a long way.

The fact Rodgers says he's out clear number 1 Is just bizarre.

Iversen deserves his chance.

He may not be the worst keeper we've ever had but he's getting far too used to picking the ball out of the net at the minute and that can't be good.  Right now he thinks if he's conceded 2 goals that he's had a good day.

We must try Iverson in case he steps up and takes control of the shirt.  He has more first team experience and played in the championship regularly as recently as last season.  To keep Ward in goal just because he's been no.2 for so long and it might hurt his feelings / confidence is not really a reason.

Exactly the crap buys started well before Brendan was appointed.

By tradition Leicester City have always had keepers that were exceptional.  As a club we have always had great keepers.  Gordon Banks,

Peter Shilton, Mark Wallington, Tim Flowers, Kasey Keller, Kasper Schmeichel to name a few.

I have to say Danny Ward has to be the worst keeper we have ever had.  His positional sense is none existant, his kicking is poor, he is an average Championship keeper at best.

We have to give Iverson a chance against Villa, unfortunately though Rogers will not.

Carry on with Ward in goal I now believe we will achieve another record, by beating Derbys lowest points total in the premier league.

Did you not see Ricardo in goal?

Could have sworn there was a real groundswell on here not that long ago calling for Ward to be given the nod ahead of Kasper. lol

You were the only number one. We were destined to be together for eternity.

Difficult one. He’s absolutely not our worst goalkeeper ever and potentially decent enough - has played well for Wales, did OK in sporadic games for us before this season and made some good saves this. He did keep the score down v Brighton and made a great stop with his foot that turned out to be offside.

However, he’s almost certainly going to be having confidence issues given where we are in the league and the fact he is replacing a legend. Add to this the personnel and shape of the defence has been constantly changing during our first six games, he hasn’t been able to build any rhythm or rapport. His central defenders have ranged from imperious (Evans) to impetuous (Fofana) via bombscare (Amartey) and out-of-position (Ndidi), as well as Soyuncu and Vestergaard in the Cup.

Personally, I think Ward is well down the list of problems this season.

He’s not the worst of course but he’s bad. Even the saves he does make looks like he scared of the ball.

He’s had a rough start and has to be mentally strong to get into our good books but I don’t think he will.

Yes even Ricardo never kicked it straight to an opposing player then tried to blame Ndidi.  Bloke is a liability in goal and I stand by worse keeper we have ever had.  Even, Pressman was better and Weale, Ben bloody Hamer come back all is forgiven.

A complete lack of confidence shows more clearly in keepers than outfield players. His confidence, like the whole teams, is shot. He isn’t a bad keeper. He might not be our best.
