When people wanted Kasper out though they probably preferred to sign a replacement lol

Unfortunately Ward was the easy and cheap option.

Indeed...

In the top flight maybe but ****, y'all have forgotten the toss we had between Ian Walker and Kasper. Ward is streets ahead of Paul Henderson, Carl Pentney, Mark Bunn, Rab Douglas, Tony Warner etc.

Not what we've been used to, I agree but not even in the 10 worst keepers we've had this century - let alone the worst we've ever had.

It's threads like this that are unnecessary and increase the negativity around here. He's not the best, but get a grip if you think he's the worst we've ever had.

A note to all those who wanted Kasper out for so long...

And don’t forget when Kevin Pressman took a break from the pie shop to play for us

I had managed to do that cheers. The goal he conceded against Preston, falling over and letting a long goal kick go over his head, remains the worst thing I've ever seen a city player do

People are so weird with Ward. Obviously he's not had the best start, but the way people were slating him from the crowd yesterday was just odd and completely over the top. Only one person is causing issues with our team right now and even normally brilliant players are playing badly so maybe just calm down.

In fairness he's better than Rab Douglas was.

He's just out of his depth and has no confidence. It's really not his fault he's starting

Kevin Pressman... he was lucky to even have made it as a professional.

Whilst in the Premier League, I would put Ian Walker up there, I cannot remember too many saves, let alone good games while in a Leicester shirt. Only thing he did of any note was shove a pitch invader to the ground.

Kalac, Pressman, Douglas and Ricardo all make Ward look like prime Buffon in comparison. We've definitely had worse! 😄

By tradition Leicester City have always had keepers that were exceptional.  As a club we have always had great keepers.  Gordon Banks,

Peter Shilton, Mark Wallington, Tim Flowers, Kasey Keller, Kasper Schmeichel to name a few.

I have to say Danny Ward has to be the worst keeper we have ever had.  His positional sense is none existant, his kicking is poor, he is an average Championship keeper at best.

We have to give Iverson a chance against Villa, unfortunately though Rogers will not.

Carry on with Ward in goal I now believe we will achieve another record, by beating Derbys lowest points total in the premier league.

Wow you clearly haven't been round for very long.

Worst!!! Kevin pressman was entertainingly shocking. I remember one match at the kp when the opposition keeper scored against from a goal kick. He was so fat he couldn’t jump 10cm to catch the ball. Rotherham or Preston I think

Unhelpful hysteria. Who knows how to judge him at this stage - he's had a bad start to the season, but who hasn't in the squad?

He makes some decent saves and he doesn't hoof it out of play half as much as KS, but his positioning isn't great and he makes some nervy passes. He's not alone in any of that either, though.

I remember that as well. You could see he was weighed down by his considerable stomach.

Incredible that he gets caught out dawdling with the ball, nearly gives a goal away and then blames Wilf.

When a shot comes in you're not expecting him to save it in truth.

Brendan's said he's obviously our 1st choice keeper which sums up the current situation

If it wasn't for him it would have been about 8-2 yesterday & he made some very good saves at Arsenal.

Have to remember he has come into the team with 1 PL start, Watford last season and 3 in total, into a defence that has been shipping goals all this PL calendar year at least, that won't help him at all.

Worst performance I have ever seen from Wilf in all his time here yesterday sadly.
