I have to say Danny Ward has to be the worst keeper we have ever had.  His positional sense is none existant, his kicking is poor, he is an average Championship keeper at best.

 

We have to give Iverson a chance against Villa, unfortunately though Rogers will not.

 

Carry on with Ward in goal I now believe we will achieve another record, by beating Derbys lowest points total in the premier league.

Not our worst ever keeper, but there is a strong argument to suggest he's our worst ever Premier League keeper. Clearly Ward is not good enough for this level, he's well out of his depth and it shows. Not replacing Schmeichel will prove to be a costly mistake I reckon.

Alan Young and Steve Lynex between the sticks instilled me with more confidence.

Schmeichel has been a massive loss. Ward just not upto it. Lack of communication, rubbish distribution, basic errors. This all perpets itself through the whole team and they be come anxious on the ball and mistakes happen. The keeper can see the whole pitch and should be constantly communicating with team mates.

He was in passive no man's land for at least two of those through ball goals. Kasper would have been doing his Bruce Lee splits in the attackers face. Really poor keeping. Not sure he's up to it.

Kaspers departure was always going to be a hard act to follow just like Vardy. I think Ward is getting some harsh criticism here. He isn’t the best by any means but the thing that disappoints me is that we have just seen a number of very good keepers move in the summer at reasonable prices just at a time when we haven’t been in a position to put in a bid.

I'm willing to give most players the benefit of the doubt at the minute, playing under the little clown isn't getting the best out of anyone but it's easy to see why at 29 - he's not even played 100 games.

I think the gulf in quality between him and the rest of the team is the widest ever. When we had other shit goalkeepers we had at least some roughly equally shit outfield players. He sticks out like a sore thumb.

The way people have gone after ward immediately is so ****ing odd to me, did anyone have the expectation of him being a phenomenally good number 1? I know there were weirdos saying drop Kasper for him before but Jesus Christ give the man a break. He's not the **** passing sideways and not giving an ounce of pride into his performance on the pitch.
