SkidsFox Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 We already know Tielemans is going. But the likes of Maddison, Barnes and Castagne will want out too. Wouldn't be surprised to see Premier teams move in for the likes of Kelechi, Daka and NDidi too. We're going to need a lot of promising young players emerge.
Cropwellfox Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 (edited) Would expect us to start next season minus (released or sold) Iversen, Castagne, Bertrand, Soyuncu, Amartey, Vestergaard, Ricardo, Praet, Tielemans, Ndidi, Soumaré, Mendy, Maddison, Barnes, Iheanacho, Perez, possibly Daka. We could easily be the next Sunderland to fall straight through. Sounds beyond stupid but with that amount of change, money tied up on loans we’ve taken against TV money and senior management who don’t seem able to make quick decisions it’s entirely possible Edited 18 September 2022 by Cropwellfox 1
JimJams Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 Anybody we can feasibly sell really. We won't entertain a squad full of players on Premier League wages in the Championship. You could financially tolerate a few, but not the lot. So the "Who?" is largely out of your hands, it's whoever there is interest in at fees that make sense.
BroughtonFox Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 Only one man for the job if we go down 2

No, that’s fact we’re bottom. Do I see their being 3 worse teams than us come the end of the season? Honestly it’s hard to say
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 All of the above, but you’d just know that Bertrand and Vestergaard and a few other clowns would stick around. Like turds that can’t be flushed.

-sodapop Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 I think the only players in or around the starting XI that I could see us being able to keep and afford through a relegation are KDH, Daka, Faes, Thomas and Justin. I think Iversen would probably be in the squad still too.

ithuriel Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 Would be a mass clear out wouldn't it. Basically a major team rebuild and youngsters being given a chance too. None of the strikers would stay, even Vardy would be let go with the wages he is on I'd have thought. Midfield would be a mass clear out too and even our shite defence would mostly vanish.

BlueSi13 Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 Our squad is far too strong to get relegated. But at the moment we are dropping down so fast we're breaking the sound barrier. This means that our squad would be raided like a tub of Heroes at Christmas with a lot of players in demand for pennies. We'd probably be left with a husk of a squad and a challenge to stay up in the Championship. I genuinely don't think Top or King Power would be interested in rebuilding all over again either. So yea I'm a bit worried.

UHDrive Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 "Big Dan Amartey".........at least I heard a rumour its his nickname.
NewEnglandFox Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 We better hope we have relegation paycuts built into contracts or we could have a few more Vesty's on our hands. There was a big fuss about Jonjo Shevley getting paid infinite in the championship when Newcastle were down.
Bptiger Posted 18 September 2022 Posted 18 September 2022 All will move on except the shit ones , it could be a long time in the championship
