The European Super League was stopped because of direct action from fans. Blackpool fans forced their owners out with direct action.

It absolutely can work in this day and age - even in somewhere as placid as England - but it needs the people who say they're up for it to absolutely follow through with it.

Those clubs are why it worked, it took fans from all those (sadly) relevant monied clubs to illicit change and I do not believe Blackpool is a comparable example due to the corruption evident.

You were claiming wholesale that direct action does not work. It provably does.

Like you say though, whether a fanbase like ours has it in them is another matter.

I was trying to say it would not work for Leicester due to the perceived notoriety of the club more than anything (I.e.; Sky would not give if loads of foxes had banners, but would if Man Utd or Chelsea did) and yes  you are right, direct action certainly can work as you demonstrated.

Nope..too many of the " its a good day out at the footie" brigade around the crowd.

When trying to voice my own Rodgers Out, I was treated to a round of "shut up and support your club" followed with a dose of fu*k off you Plastic Fan, and finally, a blurted, but he won us the FA Cup and "that shield thing" as well, which with that one statement alone proves the level of some 'fans' in and around the ground.

I couldn't be bothered at that point to ask them. if they enjoyed being defeated more often than not, or if they really where entertained by a ponderous, lacklustre, tippy tappy sideways  and back to the keeper brand of football, that judging by our league position doesn't seem to work too well.

Which part of the ground?

I'm in the Kop and I think most people have the same opinion. People always bring up this "I said this but people laughed or said shut up" yet I never ever see it happen.

Blood on your hands then

At least you’ll have YouTube to show your kids how good we used to be and you’ll be able to tell them you were part of the blue disabled brigade who clapped our way into administration (potentially)

What because he didn't join in with a protest? lol Give over.

People keep saying this as if we can directly effects what happens. Some protests do work, some don't. The Super League protests worked, the fans going down to the grounds.

But on the other hand Oldham fans protested constantly, threw stuff on the pitch and had matches stopped, but it didn't stop their relegations.

But if someone doesn't join in it doesn't mean they played a part in our relegation (if that was to happen).

I've seen loads of ideas on here yet I bet I don't see nothing happen on Saturday. As with everything, people who want to stuff will do it and not just sit around chatting about it.

...there is not much evidence of the crowd turning, and if any place you would suspect it would happen, it would be the kop!!!

This just shows no matter how perceived,or what position one takes being bombastic in one’s ideas, shows openly that there others who think differently .

Funny enough we all have rights to our own ,shared, opposing POV,no matter how

brilliant or weird along the universal sliding scale they are..:scarf:

How about the off idea, it’s the actual people who want protests, that will eventually get us relegated, but the quiet majority just might keeps us up…

Effecting the players a true fan doesn really want, during the game, many protests fall on stones ground, because they don’t really show who they are directly aimed at..or even misunderstood..

Then there are the mixed factions, who shout at the same time, but totally disagree with each other…

.# protest against all

# protest only against Rodgers, but not club,

# protest against Top but not club ( weird thought)

# protest against team

# protest against board & Rodgers, & Top, but not club…

# protest against Putin,Rodgers,and board…

# protest against the pathetic & poor offerings of food, dared to be sold at the  ground..plus prices..

#but love the donuts & clappers..

If people were serious about protesting, would've thought they did it right outside the stadium by now.

Pick a game and boycott it, I'd be willing to do something else on a Saturday etc., rather than watch what is served up these days.

Im gob smacked by the amount of supporters booing and shushing the fans starting the Rogers out chants at the game today. Fun times watching us watching us get relegated in style isn’t it.

Mate, you’ve been constantly pro Rodgers, had a pop at anyone who was writing any sort of criticism and sneered at any sort of protest.
What are you thinking now and what are you on about? You genuinely confuse the Hell out of me.

We have a weird fan base. Many of us feel helpless at the King Power with the anodyne majority (yes I defo believe in the West Stand where I sit) still support the Fraud. Any expression of frustration is met with ’‘support the team’ bullshit comments. I’ve been a supporter all my f’king life, love the club to my core, but something changed when he joined. I know he helped us - finally - win the FA Cup and Charity Shield and we played some scintillating football in the first two seasons under his tenure, which were joyous and proud occasions. That does not mean the Fraud or owner and hierarchy get a free pass from criticism. I don’t think there is a single Leicester fan who is not grateful for the glorious years under King Power’s ownership or blame Top for financial constraints because of Covid. But and this is a big but, what we have witnessed over the last 18 months has been evident to all. He has ripped the heart out of the team. ‘Foxes never quit’ is a distant memory, both on and off the pitch.
