Really? No scenario at all?

Scenario: Tim Sherwood.

Scenario: John Carver.

Scenario: Alan Pardew

There very much are scenarios where Brendan staying as manager is our best option.

(Which, before anyone starts, isn't to say there aren't scenarios where Brendan staying isn't our best option.)

Id completely forgotten John Carver 🤣...

Notable additions to the list are

Stuart Pearce at forest

Shearer at Newcastle

Trevor Brooking at West Ham

And my favourite, Terry Connor at Wolves

Tifo Football did a video on Les Reed at Charlton last week.

But it’s not throwing money away, it’s already spent whether you spend the game in the toilet or your seat.

It may be already spent but, arguably, by watching the game you actually get to have the product for your transaction which is the purpose of buying something. Admittedly not a great product atm but I thought the spurs game was good value.

Too many listen to Lineker, Savage, Soccer Saturday, Talksport etc. They believe what they are told.

In any case, the board should do more. The fans shouldn't have to make it toxic.

I agree with your second point but it's hard to prove the first point. Do you really think people believe what they're told? I bet there's lots of people who don't but I can't prove it. Who knows what goes on inside people's heads? I think many football fans know that pundits are like politicians...they usually say whatever to keep them in work.

If you are wavering in your view and enough people turn you in one direction then it will make an impact. There is still a section of fans fully behind Rodgers, or more on his side than against, and it can't be down to performance on the pitch.

Throwing money away in this current living crisis. And I’m the bozo.

Most of us have probably already paid up for our season tickets anyway?

Not having a dig ,but what would you do?

Anything?

Nothing?

It has to say "Rodgers Out Srivaddhanaprabha Out Sack The Board" or it won't count.

Totally agree Tops total inaction leaving Brendan Rogers in charge after taking a good team in 5th place to a sure relegation in 2 years under his charge means he is totally at fault as well for leaving this club in a perilous situation!

I’ve got more banner suggestions to fit with this theme

-DO SOMETHING

-ACT NOW

-IT MUST CHANGE

-…OR ELSE

If these people really want Rodgers out, then just put RODGERS OUT on a banner. It’s 10 letters and a space, it can fit on a sheet, it’s not that hard.

Stop this coy nonsense. Adults say what they mean to say; just be an adult and spell it out.

I wrote this on the Brendan Rodgers thread earlier today.  Seems appropriate to reproduce it here ...

"

Well, I have just emailed Susan Whelan and the board again, pointing out that the phrase "sleepwalking into relegation", which I used in my emails last September, is even more accurate now and is starting to be taken up by more and more supporters.

I asked for no more delay in the obvious action that has to be taken.

As I have said before ... no, I don't expect it to weigh with them.  BUT, if they received a whole bundle of emails surely it would make them wake up to the feeling of the fans  Come on guys, it's the only way fans here online can make a protest and in such a way that the board can't avoid registering it. :fc: :scarf:

"

It's just one way of protesting that we can all do direct from here. Email addresses are [email protected] and [email protected].

Yeah, but what if you stand next to someone else with the same banner and the T at the end of theirs covers up the R at the start of yours...?

Then the sign becomes redundant because the players and manager are already just twiddling their d***s out there anyway 😂

That’ll be expensive 🤣 Rodgers, Top, Rudkin Out will be less letters 😅

Sorry, perhaps I needed to specify 'realistic scenarios' for those of you who wanted to be so literal and pedantic about it (and I enjoy pedantry as much as the next person)

The first 2 aren't even in the management game and Pardew is done as a top flight manager, certainly for a club of our size. Even so, just having somebody come in and shake things up would be better than what this clown is doing. Might as well have chucked in Peter Taylor, you, me and everyone else on Foxestalk on that list (although suspect plenty would do better for the rest of the season than Brendan)

Sorry, perhaps I needed to specify 'these are just examples off the top of my head to demonstrate that in fact there probably are some people who would be worse than Rodgers' for those of you who wanted to be so literal about it as to see them as actual suggestions of possible managers.

Silly thread at best, at worst it’s damaging.

Really, please elaborate and what would you do, sit applauding more tepid football and saying get behind the lads.

So what’s your plan, continue to sleepwalk to the Championship?

Whether I'm there or not, whether I walk out or not, doesn't matter because I cannot influence what is happening on the pitch.

That's the difference. You act for yourself. You want bang for your buck.

Others prepared for a bit of personal discomfort in exchange for the collective good.

It's partly why we have such a shite fanbase. Too many are in it for themselves; routine day out, few beers or a flask, leave 5 mins early to get home for ant and Dec.

Of course I want bang for my buck, anything I pay for I want to see a return. I've been going to games long enough to know that I've paid and could see us win, lose or draw. But I've first committed my money to it and I want to see the game.

I might, and have, leave early depending on performance and usually that gets slated. But it's alright to do so now, cheers

What about just turning backs to the pitch for the first minute of the game with a Rodgers out chant  means people can still go and enjoy the game but is visually impactful and can "get behind the players" for the rest of the game

Here's a plan.

Accept rodgers going no where.

Consider most if not all the players 'are' actually trying.

Realise we are in a relegation scrap and best thing we can do is get behind the team regardless.

Sing shout scream and make our place as hard a place to come to as possible over the remaining games.

Crazy talk I know.

After reading this thread there should be at least 50 protest banners on Saturday?

I’ll believe it when I see it. Modern life seems to be people happy tapping away angrily at a keyboard but completely incapable of actually doing anything in real life.
