Something stuck in my memory about him, it was said, that he scored 10 out of 10 penalties in training. We got a peno, and he missed it!?

Massive amount of excitement around pre-match as Steve Walsh unexpectedly made the bench after months out injured. Was also floodlight failure for a short while too.

Yes! I remember the floodlights failing and huge cheers from the crowd whilst 3-0 down at half time!

The 82 cup tie against Shrewsbury or Wilson's goal against Fulham away 1983 - must have been 6,000 away fans there that day. The circumstances surrounding this match for Fulham were unbelievable.

Cheltenham league one, home. Had a great day out with some old friends I’ve sadly lost touch with. I forget the shoreline, 4-1 or something?

Memorable moments.... but your not sure of the score!

Most would obviously say winning the Prem. in 2016 - but even now then I still think that was a dream! Elsewhere then definitely the 1996 PO final v Palace re the manner of the way it happened - with people having written off our turmolic 1995-96 season in the March under the recent tenure of O'Neill (a la right now and the Great Escape Prem. seasons....!) - and with 'that run' we went on, before winning at Watford on the final day (Izzet), then winning both the semi L2 at Stoke's old ground and the final v Dave Bassett's C.Palace as underdogs. The 5 brilliant years as 'unfashionables' in the Prem to follow of course with a very underrated team who nobody liked to play against, albeit with more style and swarve than the trailblazers for all that in the 80s/90s (the original Wimbledon/Crazy Gang no less!) and under O'Neill we also won two league cups.....so one more trophy than the Don's sole FA Cup triumph in 1988 to boot!

Hereford away in League One. So many perfect little memories.

- Taking over the pub in town, except for one Hereford fan drinking alone who gave it large and got bought about ten pints as a mark of respect

- The proper old terrace

-The toilet being a shed with the wall painted black and guttering nailed to the floor

- Oakley's free kick

- Buying some weird deodorant from Morrison's that ended up being a lucky charm over many years (including putting it on before the second leg against Sevilla after finding it up the loft a full 9 years later) lol

- Being bought local cider all day - the perks of being 16, didn't need to buy any rounds. 👀

I'd been going regularly again since the year before and suffering the misery of relegation, but that was the day I truly fell back in love with Leicester City. Still my favourite away day, and I've been a lot of places here and abroad since. :scarf:

Winning at Forest in the last-minute to reach the play-offs.

Insignificant now, of course.

Came here to say the same thing. Absolute carnage

My first ever memory obviously stands out, when Akinbiyi scored against Everton in 2000. As a 5 year old I’ll never forget the primeval roar that came out the Carling stand, scared me senseless 🤣 but overall I don’t think I’ve gone more bezerk than when kasper saved N’zonzi’s penalty in the UCL

Winning 2-1 away at Liverpool in 1981. This was an incredible win at the time.

Then I had the pleasure of going into school the following Monday being all smug with the plastic Liverpool fans. It was an odd experience having teachers ask me about the game.

I have a memory of a brilliant Steve Clatidge goal in a 4th round League Cup tie against Man Utd on our way to winning the competition, but I can't find footage of it anywhere!

Maybe the fog of time has it wrong for me, but I remeber a long ball being played up.  Emile Heskey jumps with his back to the ball and in mid air cushions the ball with his heel, right into the path of Claridge who, without breaking stride, hit it on the volley from 25 yards into the top corner.  Game finished 2-0.
