It's unlikely he's getting in ahead of Casadi and Akgun.

Good for a place on the bench and minutes where possible though. I still think his best chance is as back up / replacement to Mavididi.

Surely he gets minutes tonight? If he's not on the bench for us and not with the U21's then i've no idea what the plan is!

One of the reasons I want us to get a decent Cup run is to give, is for more game time for the likes of Nelson and Alves.

I think he will find it hard to get on the bench once McAteer and Vardy are fit, so he needs to be fit pronto.

He was named by Enzo the other day as one of those who are recovering, he was in some first team training ahead of Millwall though so hopefully means he is fit enough to get some mintues tonight

We will need them given the frequency of league games if we go on a cup run for sure.

“Will is getting better and he’s close to joining us for the entire session,” Maresca said at the end of last week. If he comes through training well this week, he could be on the bench at Coventry.

Here’s hoping 🤞

Great to hear that when fit Enzo is already looking to have him involved in match day squads

I know this is a remote possibility, and it is really just an extension of local boy KDH bagging his beautiful two goals against Coventry on the opening day, but wouldn't it be just incredible if Maresca was able to bring Alves on with the game basically won and he scores an absolute worldie from the edge of the box to cement the victory :scarf:

I know he's been in first team training for quite awhile but my concern is, Will he be eligible to be in the 25 man squad?

I dont think he needs to be registered that's not the problem.

I just don't think Enzo thinks he's as ready as foxestalk does.

He's 18. Surely doesn't need registering?

Oh really? Ha! Sorry I forgot about the eligibility rules. So we can have him regardless of the amount of players we have or will retain?

Last sentence is on the money. People are rightly excited for this guy - he looks mustard and football fans love an injury redemption arc.

Given the scope of his injury - it was ****ing brutal - rushing him into a physical league into a league chasing team would be foolish. The players will be busting a gut to win every game and the overexertion could be telling.

I'd be overjoyed if he played just a few sub appearances over the next couple of months. Plenty of under 23 time will be in his future I'm sure.

And it's not just his injury, he's also months and months behind the rest of the squad tactically when it comes to the system and then equally, let's not all act like he was an established first team member before the acl.

He's an 18 year old. It's not an insult to him if he isn't ready in a lot of ways yet.

I wondered if we’d send him out on loan.  It be playing for the first team. He’ll need testing at a lower level before we try him in the Championship.

Whats happened to Braybrooke? Hes been out almost a year so must be close to a return surely?

There's got to have been a setback. He was training with Alves and was told he was close to a return for the U21s and then nothing now for 2 months.

People seem to think Alves is the next coning of Christ.

Let's see him have a few minutes under his belt first.

Think its just exciting having a player with his technical ability coming through at the club while also being a local lad

Who has played less then 20 minutes of senior football and a very bad injury.

Doesn't need any pressure on his shoulders.
