I haven’t read the last five pages but would you expect him to say ‘we’re loaded and going to make lots of signings’  ??

we usually do our business quietly and I expect he’s been told to not speak too much and raise expectations after what he said a week or so ago about incomings (which was ill advised but unsurprisingly brendan )

Money that he has overseen being wasted, he has admited himself he has a say on transfers. Such a s*** manager

He has lot key players, for a lot of money. Maguire, Chilwell, Fofona. Where's that money?

Wasted on poor signings that haven't become regular staters and huge wages for those players.

It’s mental that Amartey, Mendy and Albrighton are still here, really.

God love Albrighton but he’s really not at this level anymore. I assumed his contract was up in the summer but he’s got another year.

He’s a cracking pro but we’ve got tons of squad players taking valuable places.

I genuinely think Albrighton makes a big difference when he comes on. He’s still got energy about him and still looks to be the most on Vardy’s wavelength. I have no problem with Marc still playing personally.

Loads of average dross on high wages and a Training complex...

Fofana we get in installments it seems, so will be paid gradually, hence us taking out a loan to use the money now and pay it back later.

Just seems we are struggling through at the minute, no idea what the long term goal is anymore.

Though Tanner reported that our RW target was 'expensive'. What does that mean in this context? £25m? £20m? £15m?

I don't know, but I'd day anything north of 30m considering we have signed only 5 player of more them 30m in our history.

I'd be shocked if we buy anyone for more them 25m in January.

He offers next to nothing. Having "energy" isn't improving us as a club. We just seem to want to hang on to old players and top clubs don't do that. Squad refreshes have to happen, it's how the best remain the best. See Alex Ferguson, once players got to the end they were replaced doesn't matter what they'd acheived at the club.

The football club has to run as a sustainable business on its own. It really is that simple. We either have to cut our costs or we have to radically increase our revenue, including match day and season ticket prices, the latter were frozen or had  very small increases for some years.

However, we're simply not globally big enough to really increase our off field revenue streams so we can't hope to compete with the bigger world brand clubs.

I always thought he training ground was a big waste of money until I was talking to an agent around 16 months ago who said don't forget it is their place of work and that it certainly made a difference to his clients along with other things obviously but for eg if there were two similar offers then it would most likely swing things.

People only need to look at our recent financial results to see that we are not going to have much money and really only cash we can generate ourselves. People can blame the owners if they like but financially we have more serious issues to contend and worry about than them.

Thought we had recognised some of the Fofana transfer via a loan from Macquarrie (sp) ? Or are things so grim we need that 40m for day to day ruinning costs?

Yeah we opened up a new loan facility with them in November to get the remaining £50m or so early

Thanks, then I guess it is just a question of why it was taken out!

Having Energy is an improvement on some of what the current lot are putting out.

Also Fergie kept Giggs and Scholes around long past their sell by dates.

Scholes was still a good player though, that good that he came back from retirement. Take your point about Giggs but even in his last season, under Fergie, he still managed 5 goals.

We lack quality. Players that we've let go not being replaced with quality replacements.

Albrighton is an old fashioned winger, been great for us (understatement), but he 33 now and not getting better. If he played for another team in the division I wouldn't think we need to buy him.

I love the guy, but there’s no way that he’s good enough.

Vardy isn’t on Vardy’s wavelength at the moment.

I genuinely thought he came on last night and made a big difference to how we got forward.

Who’s ‘good enough’ at the moment? Soumare? Ndidi? Amartey? Thomas? Perez?

Albrighton plays no worse than any of these and I’d say he often plays better.

None of them, that’s what why we’re in the shit.

We're fvcked.

Probably have to look at loans then if there's not a lot of money.

Honestly, loans are 100% my preferred approach right now, pay a small amount upfront to tide us over until Rodgers is gone. I wouldn't trust him with another penny.

He’s also done the ‘what they lack in quality they make up for in determination’ line. If that’s his pep talk, no wonder Barnes has fek all confidence.  All the arse covering techniques on display.

I agree with what your saying, but in the context of how lethargic we look at present, Sharky still offers effort and energy the same as Fuchs did.
