It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we might be looking at a Mendy, Choudhury, Dewsbury-Hall midfield next season with Soumare and an out of form Ndidi in the wings.

That's up there with Scream, Halloween and 'It' in the horror movie department.

Isn’t Hamza’s contact up in the summer?

That slideshow indicated he's started putting good passes together. If so he may make a useful squad player, someone to bring on if we are being overrun, or need to close the game down. Salary may be a sticking point. We shouldn't be paying more than 30-40k for a reserve type player. I can't see Watford going to 60k either.

Stop it.

If you're so adamant that nobody is allowed to say anything in favour of Hamza then instead of a stupid single phrase response I challenge you to give an answer to these questions:

((a) Do you think that as a team our tackling is strong enough

(b) Can you name anyone in our current squad who is a stronger tackler than Hamza?

Thanks

No we decided to extend his contract, will only pay off if Watford decide to trigger their option to buy him.

The fact people are having thoughts of bringing hamza back, is mind boggling

Always happens when there is a player out on loan they see doing well whilst the team is struggling.

He is playing in the championship you can’t compare, what I can say is Hamza is NOT the answer to our prayers

Didn't say he was the answer, but at the moment Ndidi is not playing better than him.  We can't compare championship sides to us after we had our arses handed on a plate by Blackburn, I think a few of the top sides could beat us at the moment!

im not saying you can’t say anything I’m saying the thought that suddenly he’s good enough for our team again is laughable.

if he wasnt good enough before, what makes him good enough now?

Match practice

: Sharpness

: Confidence

: Being coached effectively

: Maturity

: Better fitness

A good run in the first team can definitely improve a player

If he’s pulling up trees in the prem you might have a point but he’s had a good month in the CHAMPIONSHIP.

Blackburn have just shown that a good proportion of our squad are. " not good enough for us". What the **** does that mean?

I should clarify that I don't really think Hamza is good enough for where we want to be, but I think the difference is simply that whilst it's true he wasn't good enough before, our standards have dropped interminably as well - so his level feels more akin to ours, especially when you have most of our midfielders dropping constant poor performances.

Personally, regardless of whether he's having a good season for Watford, I just don't think he'd offer enough in possession to work the way Rodgers wants the midfield to play - and whilst he does love a tackle, unless he's worked on his positional discipline I don't think it'd solve our issues - though at least I'd feel like he gave a damn as opposed to Soumare!

Hamza is not Premier  league  quality and no one would touch him.

He might be in our side next season though if we go down!

Well Blackburn are 4th and in the play offs and Watford are not and, I can’t believe ik

having to explain this part to you lol but we played Blackburn  in the FA cup. Non league teams have beaten prem teams in the FA cup before, does that mean the orem

team is suddenly below  non league standard and the non league team is suddenly orem standard? Of course not you daft sod lol

Do I rate Hamza? I don't think he will be on Man. City's shopping list , no. but he is better than a lot on here think though. Too many think on here that we are a magnet for top class players , we are not. In fact if we didn't pay high wages we would attract few players of class. I find the "not good enough for us" talk pretty elitist. Hamza may never play for us again but if he does I am confident he won't let us down.
