I wonder if there’s still an opportunity for hamza here. He’s finally being played in that midfield enforcer role and he’s thriving. 

 

He seems to be doing what wilf can’t do anymore. 

 

You have to wonder how good he can be if he hits his potential. It’s always felt that he’s not been used properly by brendan.

Having said that... i havent either, but he's the closest thing weve got to a "defensive nasty bastard" at the moment and that is something we lack.

I always try to look objectively, if he wasn’t our player, would we be interested in signing him? 

 

I don’t think many of our fans would be against it watching a 24 year old with his highlight reel of tackles and in a position we desperately need someone. 

 

im not saying he’s the answer, theres just a question mark there for me. 

 

When he first came on the scene I thought he was going to be the next kante. We soon realised his ability on the ball would hold him back, but he’s no worse on it than Wilf and back when wilf could tackle we were all perfectly fine with that. 🤷‍♂️

Stranger things have happened in football. 

 

I haven't seen him play since he left but if he's raised his game as much as Wilf has dropped off then I don't see why he couldn't come back and be part of the squad.

We’ve messed up with him. He’s always had the physical ability but we’ve never tried to improve his technical abilities whether it be the correct loan moves or it seems the coaching. 
 

id still have him as an option at holding midfield but I suspect Watford will want to buy him.

That is class, and probably the sort of thing we are missing at the minute.

He’s playing well for Watford at Championship level for a reason - that’s his level. He’s had his chance in this league and he’s a walking red card and not good enough all round.

 

Hope we get a good fee for him in the summer. Just because wilf looks spent doesn’t mean the answer is Hamza. Look forward, not in the rear view mirror.
