Prob try and get Gary Neville next. I think 400yr old Seamus Coleman is more than capable of slotting in perfectly well in a slow backline! Absolutely sickening we finished below them last season, they are garbage! 2

lcfc_forever Posted 14 July 2023 Posted 14 July 2023 Sees the Vestergaard thread getting posts so hoping for news of him leaving, and disappointed yet again.... 2 1
ARM1968 Posted 14 July 2023 Posted 14 July 2023 Vesty is going to be our surprise championship weapon. And I mean weapon. 1

scinnell Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 (edited) Strangely I think he could be useful this season, especially in games where we will dominate possession. Equally he wouldn't start the number of games he would like and I would like him off the wage bill Edited 15 July 2023 by scinnell 1
Foxmeister Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 Weak opposition aside, I thought he played well today. 1
mozartfox Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 Good resolution all round. Not his fault we allowed Southampton to ram Rudders rear end. Good luck and please let this happen.

westernpark Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 He’s a very good footballer. You only have to watch him in some of training sessions to see the way he finishes or passes, to know this. But whoever thought he’d replace Fofana, should never work in football again. 1
JimJams Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 Leave it up to Maresca. If he wants him, keep him. If not then snap hands off anyone offering anything. 2
Dahnsouff Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 Just now, JimJams said: Leave it up to Maresca. If he wants him, keep him. If not then snap hands off anyone offering anything. He seemed a substitute capable passer in the middle of defence, clearly lacking Coady’s leadership qualities, but an acceptable deputy. As you say though if Maresca wants to and can offer sufficient playing time, whatever, otherwise, sell at any price really.
Steve Earle Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 It’s The Sun. It if there’s a grain of truth in it, £5m or thereabouts and (no doubt) a ‘contribution’ to his wages makes sense all around.

Hmmm if I’m buying a defender how he finishes isn’t a priority. A bit of pace and if he can jump and head the ball on the other hand is. 1
FoxTimmy2 Posted 15 July 2023 Posted 15 July 2023 He could prove to be a valuable asset for us in the upcoming season, but ideally, we would prefer to offload him if possible. I’d appreciate hearing just one effin’ rumor related to Ward, so far not a thing.
