More the reason to accept the bids that we have had for fringe players then, Thomas and Mcateer Go and it releases quite a decent sum of money to spend over the next 5 years

But I’m on about this window with people blaming Rudkin for the inactivity. Of course there have been major errors in the past - again though Rudkin is one of many who have made mistakes. He has become an easy target.

Rudkin's one of the main reasons we have no money for transfers LOL. He needs to go. I expect he'll be sacrificed shortly

Yes he is one of the reasons but the scouts, financial people and many others may be just as culpable.

But the others are getting a pass because everybody is jumping on the bandwagon to attack Rudkin.

100% this. Our Director of Football has made error after error to cost us 100s of million. We aren’t being dealt an unlucky card with PSR. 
 

How much have we lost on player fees for Perez, Soyuchu, Tielemans, Mendy, Kelechi. £100+ million there. 
 

2 loan players and neither can get in the first team. 
 

The amount of goalkeepers we are paying each week is scandalous, let alone the wages of the rest of the squad. 

 

Clearly promising money to Ruud and not following up will cause major friction in the camp.

That’s not true, it’s widely reported there were funds. It’s more a case of the balancing of the books and the restrictions imposed by PSR

I didn’t want to go into wages being personal. But some are absolutely insane. Certain home grown players that used to be coached by the main man himself

It's a running track record though isn't it. Last few windows have been poor.

 

It's like blaming traffic on the road for missing a meeting with your boss this morning when you've been consistently late at work for the last 3 days. Not a great look

Ultimately the responsibility is with the owner, year after year he is happy with the Director of football. 
It must be some form of guilt if he was to sack him, because of the relationship he had with his father because the progress we initially made under his guidance is becoming a distant memory.
