"I would like to thank the Leicester City Chairman Mr Srivaddhanaprabha and all of the board for giving me the opportunity to manage Leicester City and make history with this great football club over the past four years,” he wrote. “We forged a special relationship and I will always have the utmost respect and affection for them.

"The players, my staff and I gave it our all every single day and I will always be proud of what we were able to achieve together. Winning against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium in 2021, to deliver a first FA Cup for the club and its supporters, together with securing European qualification in consecutive seasons are moments I will never forget.

"Everything we achieved was with the superb support of the Leicester City fans and I thank them for that. It has been a privilege to be your manager.

"My thanks, of course, to the players and the staff for all of their hard work and dedication. I have enjoyed working with you and seeing you develop each day.

"I would also like to make a special mention to my coaches Chris Davies and Glen Driscoll, who have been integral pillars of support throughout my time at the club.

"There is a strong infrastructure and environment in place that puts the Club on a strong footing to move forward - a world-class training facility, a passionate and unswerving fan base, a group of great players full of ability and character, and special owners.

"I am obviously disappointed to depart so close to the end of the season and had every confidence that we would have delivered the results needed to preserve the Club's Premier League status. I would like to wish everybody at the club the very best of luck as they seek to continue to deliver on this objective.

"I’m now looking forward to having a chance to reflect and recharge and get ready for the next opportunity."

Let’s just hope you haven’t left us in shits creek. We now have a chance to refresh and revive the squad with a different approach towards the end of the season. All the best to Rodgers but this was well overdue. Can’t deny the first two years were brilliant but we’ve been shit for a while now and the change was needed.

Nice words, just a shame for the last 18 months he’s been using every excuse other than taking any real responsibility for the mess we are in. 
Truly those first couple of seasons were magical and we genuinely looked like we were building something special, but the last 18 months were pathetic and absolutely no idea where it came from. Sure, ideally we could have replaced the minimal amount of players we did lose better, and that’s a problem that goes wider than just the manager, but even with spending a lot of money on poorer players than they replaced, for 18+ months we have turned the quality players that got us into Europe into championship fodder, there’s just no excuses for players like Ndidi now looking more like Sol Bamba, and players like Soyuncu who is on the verge of signing for Atletico Madrid rotting on the bench. 
 

The FA Cup and Community shield were also magic. A real shame it turned sour so quickly, but just like Ranieri we 100% would have gone down with BR and our financial status would have been far worse now than it was a few years ago if we did. 
 

We have to roll the dice. Wish him all the best as he did deliver us fantastic successes for a club of our stature, but Honestly by the end very glad to see him go,  his personality just grated me every time he made an excuse.

It’s raw now but in the future people will look back at out history and see it as a period of success for the club. Just a shame it ended how it did.

 

Rodgers lives in too many peoples heads rent free including my own in the past, time to move on now and hope the club isn’t in such a shit state that it seems to be.

If this would of been the message in September rather than "we haven't been helped in the transfer market along with keeping Kasper we'd be at least 10 points better off.
