Soumaré - what hold does he have with the club

OK so Soumaré must have something on top, or Susan or Rudkin. No other explanation as to why this fraud of a footballer keeps playing. He's the worst footballer I've seen at our club. The guy has no desire, no skill, no work ethic, no brain, no pace! Nothing! How does he play a full 90 minutes today!?

Actually thought he was just about the only one showing any desire in that 2nd half despite the lack of quality, he was at least trying to get stuck in and not hiding. He was probably one of our better players today, which says just how poor we were.

He was absolutely awful, yet still one of the best on the pitch wearing blue. 
I think the hold he has on the club is a legally binding contract and the fact nobody else probably wants him now. Oh and the fact his competition is Mendy and Dewsbury hall. All 3 of which are often like shitting in your hands and clapping, so Soumare it is.

he was one of the better players for us today, much as that's like saying that Rishi Sunak is the best PM we've had in the last 12 months

Going forward, not too bad, can change gear and keep the ball before passing short.

 

In defence, can get caught watching players sprint past him whilst he is jogging.

 

Today, I thought he was "meh" 1st half, but fairly decent 2nd half. 

 

When he lost the ball in a dangerous position in front of our box, it was because Amartey pinged it really fast to him instead of passing it.

Really? He was ok today - better than Amartey, Kristensen, Maddison, Vardy

He had a 10 minute spell in the 2nd half where he realised he was in a football match and not out for a walk otherwise he contributed nothing and should have been subbed at 45 along with Vardy and Ricardo

He's been an absolute fraud all season. Mendy is miles ahead of him. Amartey (although I've critised him plenty in the past) was not as bad as him. The guy couldn't control the ball, he could pass the ball a simple 10 yards with out f'in it up. Maddison yes had a bad game but was just trying to push it too much especially after his mistake, Vardy is done, but Vardy at least tries.

I’m not saying he’s been any good since we signed him, but I’m saying, in my opinion (and many others it seems) there were worse individual performances out there than him today.

My point was that yes he may have had a 'slightly better than others' second half. But the first half and the rest of the season he's been woeful. So why does he deserve to be in the team? Makes no sense to me.

He got better today after we switched to a 442 but is still likely to make a key mistake. Praet should start ahead of him.

Agree but I can't imagine any fan actually thinking that starting 11 was a good idea. Who would actually pick him over Mendy? Just fed up of this lot!

Some of our fans absolutely hate him, always have and always will. Not to say he's helped himself at times but I remember being at Brentford home last season when he came on as sub and the amount of grumbling about it was ridiculous. Some supporters minds have long been made up, he's been characterised and is an easy scapegoat, from his lethargic display and his lack of any sort of media personality.

 

He was a bad signing. Big money, hasn't worked. Still a Leicester City player and needs to be encouraged to save our skin at the moment.
