This isn't entertaining

I want to see cricket that adapts to the situation, not a brainless one dimensional approach.

Score was well within reach as well. You don't need to be gung ho to get it.

Somebody has to play an unbelievable innings for this style to work consistently. I appreciate the want to score quickly and there is always going to be some risk to that. You want to get parity as soon as possible if there is any chance of forcing a positive result.

But the manner of wickets is going to annoy people because they are gifts.

They seriously need to stop showing Winviz until the fourth innings. So many variables still, so what's the point?

Edit: Fvcking shit, Bairstow. What the fvck was that.

This is beyond stupid. We're just giving the series away when at 188-1 we were looking at a lead of 50-100 potentially.

We're being done over by a side that's just doing the basics well. There's time in the game and they're without their front line spinner.

Put overs in their legs and there's a chance another one of them breaks. This is crap, I hate it.

Good grief, the reaction on here and you'd think we'd lost the match and the series 5-0 already. And lost 12 of the last 15 tests.

That being said, this is high risk play and it's not working at the moment, that's obvious.

Before the innings began, I quietly settled for a 50 run deficit.

The manner of wickets is pathetic but I concede we'd probably get beaten worse trying to play old school.

Australia have virtually the same attack as 2019 I'm pretty sure so I dont understand why it keeps being said that we couldn't match them playing old school when we did four years ago. Could probably argue their batting is in a better place with Labuschagne and Head permanent fixtures in their side now but you generally back our bowlers in our own conditions to do alright

We probably will lose 5 nil the way we're playing. We've lost this one bar a miracle.

I guess we shall see.

I tend to leave and judge certainties to past events and physics (and sometimes not even then).

This is a point that needs to be made more often.

So do I. Being 200 for 1 and then all out for 325 (48 for 6 today) isn't very good is it?

It's horrible.

But this match and this series isn't over until it's over so I'm going to wait until then for the post mortem rather than sticking in the boot right now.

This and that aren't the only 2 options possible. You know this, so why keep making a dishonest point?

Not on these pitches we wouldn’t
