Not been good enough in the Prem and he might not want  to ply his trade in the championship :dunno:

He’s contracted to play for Leicester City. If the club want him to play in The Championship he will. He has the finishing ability and pace to play at that level however arguably his ability on the ball - his control, his dribbling and his passing are Vanarama levels at best.

I think its worth also remembering what state Nacho was in when Brendan first arrived. He actually looked worse than Daka.

So both of our other current strikers have gone through the hard times and come out the other side once they had been propperly utilized. I dont understand how as a fan base we still write players off this way.

As I clearly stated in the OP... we havent once, tried accommodating him in our system. I understand that everyone will have an opinion on this, but I dont look at him and see a hopeless case, I actually see someone I want us to nurture as if we can get him firing he could be unreal.

I mean even the post above this is saying he's not good enough in aerial duals... jesus wept, if thats the metrics we are using on our strikers we have no hope.

A spell in the Championship may do him good if he can bag a few, he clearly has something but it needs developing, service and confidence. Completely rubbish players don't score 30 odd goals in any league, and 4 in Moscow.

It's difficult for any striker except Nacho in this team, the team creates few opportunities and has no identity or style.

He’s supposedly quick but I haven’t seen him rinse anyone since Spartak Moscow. Last time he had a chance to dribble at someone the ball pinged off his foot after about 3 steps and he stood there wondering where it went.

Like everyone he’s regressed and I’m not sure he was even that good to begin with. Is dropping into the Championship going to suddenly make him any better? Doubt it. Can just see him getting booted up in the air.

Chalk it up to the latest in a long line of dud signings from Jon Rudkin’s Waste of Money FC.

...a player that needed polishing and convinced that he could thrive in this league!!!

All have regressed this season and like everyone else, so  has he. With Vardy still number one, he is going to be just as frustrated next season.

He will have to adjust his approach to games and apply a more robust attitude on the pitch. He has to be looking at ousting Vardy, because at the moment, he is in no- man's land.

Is it safe to bring this back out? Is there time for us to make him part of our plans!

He seems to fit what we are creating, maybe these injury’s can give enzo a chance to reconsider his stance.

Honestly, 6 months of him banging in goals and he might hit the premier league and show the potential we thought we were getting.

We'll see. If Vardy and Iheanacho are back to fitness and he's still getting played then maybe?

Too early to say. It wasn't exactly football reasons keeping him out of the side. If he still wants to leave and we still think he's sellable and then he may very well be going back to the bench.

That said, if Maresca's reason for dropping him was feeling he might not be committed if he was asking to leave then I think at least he's probably proving he's up to work hard.

He could score 20+ no problem in the championship. PL not so sure

In this team he'd probably do better in the Premier League than the Championship to be honest.

Any central striker we play is going to struggle to service in this league because of how absurdly scared everyone is of us and how much bus parking is going on.

not quite, even with that we are still going to create more openings in this league.

We should focus on Patson this season. Kel is going to leave as he’d have signed a new deal by now and Vards is near the end. Daka is a top player we should persist with him as No1 striker

Good game from Patson, not great, but good enough to keep the shirt for Brum.

Should have done better with his chance first half but he's a menace with his pace and work rate, and in general his link up was decent enough.

Vardy and Kel both being out might have done us a huge favour as both have been hit and miss Daka has got two in two where he probably wouldn’t have been getting a game and Cannon has been getting minutes which he needs .

An inform striker, not played too many games…Daka should easily take us into the

New year, and there is Cannon to rotate with.

odd cameos for Nacho & Vardy..

Praet can cover Winks,Ndidi, and KDH,with Choudhury & Castadei cameos.

Coady will cover Faes,Vestergaard,Justin..Nelson & Doyle will make it interesting.

Utility player Choudhury covering defence or midfield lines

Mavadidi, Fatawu,Mcateer Agun, Wansa, Albrighton see our flanks well supported.

They have all clipped in with good performances and tasting games from First choice..

Ricardo can have his timeouts..

The whole squad is well set up and tasted the rule of Enzo in the Championship,& still not halfway through..

Plus there will be Alves,Baybrooke, starting to make a claim,,

Add Starsky for Mats if need be.
So far this group has faced up,we have ( will always have) wobbles, but no one has battered us down.

Running into half season, there would be a need for a 4 game turn around, from 3rd.

Ipswich, doesn’t any longer become a tide that needs to stay a concern, they can chase us all the way,we swap and change position..Who cares..:dunno:

I still believe we will have uncomfortable games, sloppyness is part of sport.

Even our arrogance and occasional lack of 90 minutes discipline might see a few take our knickers down. We are a good & decent squad, but not yet in the groove or

smooth enough to walk this quest and season, but we should be happy  as fans, that our squad so far has faced the challenge, squashed any initial doubts, but are not yet so set for this league we will sweep all before us.

Hey but at the moment …It ain’t half grand…innit..!!

Thought he was better than in the Plymouth game, which baring in mind Millwall parked the bus for big portions of the game says a lot.

Big problem now. No way Kels or Vardy get picked ahead of him, but its very likely he's off anyway.

Or is there a twist to the tale and Daka stays..........

What is great,we don’t need guaranteed goals from CF,we have others also having fun, plus it helps and give time for young Cannon to bed in.

Maybe Rotherham start him…. Daka’s  3rd game in a row he deserves..

Enzo will do what Enzo do...

He has credit in the tank and from my side, with his selection and his squads and his own experience gathering is paramount.. Even his subs, questionable or not.. HE MIGHT Not deal with plan A, b or C, but tweaks within his system and GameDay routine.

I have my preference players, but I don't believe Enzo will field injury doubt, form doubt players, and he will nick & tuck on selection, because of those extra 8 games, and those regular 2-3 game fixtures periods. I am content to sit back and watch our coaches & his magic, even accepting the odd blackeye. Why should we be perfect, but he is not slow implementing needs.

We should be thankful we are experiencing successfull moments of a new coaches career, and it's in our colours..

Go through PL and Championship, not many Managers putting their marker down, Frank for Brentford, reemergence

A.Villas Emery, McKenna Ipswich..

Waiting in the wings Kompany for Burnley. HOWE maybe. Pep, klopp, Arteta for the big clubs already stamped their name.

It's just a great feeling, we are not looking on, but have our own small but growing talent.. IN ENZO I trust..

For some reason I just feel more confident in Daka and Cannon than I do Vardy and Iheanacho

it feels like a sliding doors moment where we have to move on to the future of the club. Its bloody hard to find a good striker and we could well be sat on one. He just needs some consistent game time, then we can make a real decision
