Pretty sure they're all dead I'm afraid.

All joking aside, it will be interesting if anything will actually happen against Everton.

My feeling is that if they are not found guilty by the FA, and an appropriate punishment meted out, that any civil suit would be fruitless.

Although...  this is Everton, and not Man City!

Or Luton

I'm not convinced that we can go straight back up, we've been relegated in a mess. Number of player exits expected due to contracts ending, limited funds, uncertainty over whose manager, huge wage bill. Our only hope is bring in a manager that'll bring in freshness and get the fans excited again. Got to be careful of the Sunderland syndrome... if you get my drift.

Picking just about any boozer in town before the game and waiting no longer than 19 seconds to get a beer. Although I fear that still won't be the case for O'Neils

The fuss the EFL kicked up over us overspending by £13m (only to completely vindicate us years later) and yet Everton have overspent by more than £265m... there simply HAS to be consequences from the league. And when it does, we should sue them for £300m + £100m per every season we're out of the PL.

Does anyone seriously think we've got a good shot of going straight back up? Obviously I will ultimately reserve judgement until we've got a manager and a closed summer window, but:

  • The club already suffered a huge loss of income before relegation
  • Relegation has compounded that
  • We've got as many as 23 players potentially leaving the club - we need to sell and sign so many players it's crazy!
  • We have no real spine of a team to build around
  • This is a club that monumentally messed up the last 2 summer windows and now they've got to do far, far more work in this one, which is also shorter - season kicks off in 64 days

Be interesting first home game of the season lets say Huddersfield at home... will we still get 30k or would have many fans jumped ship.

Depends on the club. If they set ridiculous matchday prices like they have the past few years, then I doubt there will be loads of matchday going fans. We will still have 23,000 STH's.

A big difference will be the away fans. In the PL most clubs would bring 3,000. In the Championship we will likely see anything between 500 and 2,000 with maybe the odd exception where we get close to 3,000 (if we give that many, we are only obliged to give 2,000, so we might keep M1 for ourselves if we are due to sell out).

Don't think that will change much. Will still be busy and likely more Saturday afternoon's, prime for boozing.

If we make little changes at the top level this summer then no chance. We'll be mid table.

If we have any ambition and get a new manager sorted soon and change a fair few faces around the team (not the players), then I think we stand a decent chance of playoffs/potentially pushing for automatic. We will also need a good transfer window.

I am praying that we spend wisely and go for young/unproven hungry talents rather than any bigger names. Would also love to keep the majority of players not out of contract (knowing Maddison will go of course). However, not sure how likely it is that the likes of Barnes/Iheanacho stay sadly.

You'd be surprised, when we were in the championship mid 2000's sometimes you wouldn't even know we were playing lol

Hopefully it will present a clean break from the amazing achievements in the recent past, and those achievements can be rightly celebrated for what they were - remarkable. As was, I felt we were becoming a bit like Forest and forever referring back to former glories.

Hopefully we won't be going back to being THAT bad though.

I still remember one season playing Crystal Palace and they tried to tell us the official attendance was 26,000. Pretty much the whole ground burst out laughing, so much the players defo heard on the pitch lol

Massively depends what the squad and manager is, if people feel inspired they will come, if they don't you could be looking at 26k and a possible drop off to 24s after

Like previous people have said, FM will be fun. Just wish there was an option to start from now before any new players are signed or sold and do the rebuild yourself.

I said the exact same thing the other day. Would be City’s best ever save if that was the case. You could, you’d either end up winning the league or getting sacked 1st season I think if you could do the rebuild yourself.

It would be so good if they added the feature to start 1st of June real time or start 1st of June as they currently do.

August 4th or 5th for first game. I plan to be sizzling abroad somewhere drinking more Rose than my body can cope with.

I think it will be terrible and I don't think anyone can pretend they're loving life – but seeing some of the names we're being linked with, as well as players finally leaving us after 18 months of abject misery, is starting to feel quite cleansing.

Exactly how I feel about it 👍

It could possibly be exactly what the club needed, as long as the overall leadership now improves.
