It's quite alarming how people on here think the championship is like a cakewalk to anyone who has played in the prem. Daka has been largely dogshit, and to suggest he'd get 30 goals or ridiculous things like that is naive in the extreme. The championship is extremely high quality and competitive. Those referencing the Austrian League- the Championship is miles clear of that standard. If people think we will piss the league they are in for a rude awakening. It wouldn't surprise me if most of these people have hardly watched a championship game in the last few years and assume it's a poor standard.

Exactly.  All three teams that went up last year stayed up.

A bit moot given it’s incredibly unlikely Nacho plays for us again

1 year left. Been here 6 years already. Always been undervalued and underplayed.

Any savvy PL team would be looking at him, so we will receive offers.

He’s only got 1 year left so we’d need to sell him this season if he doesn’t extend, and why would he sign on when we can only offer him less money and no guarantee of PL football anytime soon?

I love Nachos. That pass while holding his groin will forever stay in our folklore. He is way under appreciated in his 6 years here and we have wasted his massive talents during his prime years. He deserves nothing less than a regular starting place in a PL team. For his sake I hope he gets to do his stuff elsewhere in the PL although I would love him to stay with us: he will have 40+ goal contributions (goals and assists) in the Championship. Unlike Barnes, who I think should stay to repay his debt to us, Nachos owes us nothing. Nachos has been a loyal servant while being under appreciated and he deserves more.

Nacho will bag loads, but maybe be instrumental in more with his hold up play.

I thought Daka was dogsh1t in the prem so will be interesting to see how he performs in the Championship.

Reckon he'll just get clattered.

I don't think it's same for both so can't answer the question. Nacho could get 15-20. I can't cofidently say Daka will get double figures but could ramp up some assists.

Largely depends if we play with 2 strikers as well

Daka is injured pre-season.

Iheanacho scores 8 in August and is signed by Brentford on transfer deadline day with no replacement brought in.

Vardy is left as our only recognised striker

The difference is it’s a bit slower

It's the same with half the threads created on the board over the last month, there's about 3 for Vardy retiring or not plus his own thread. Needs some mods to get enforcing thread discipline.

To be fair it's a forum where people can discuss what they want. If you don't like the topic or thread, then surely the answer is don't comment on it, not try to have it taken down.

Nacho 20

Daka 25

Maddison 12

Barnes 18

Vardy 9

Tielemans 3

???

Daka 20 his speed will take him away from slower less astute defenders. Can he finish?

Vards 17 think he'll get plenty of poachers goals

Nacho 15 champo defenders don't mind a physical striker, but he'll certainly beat goalies with a firece shot

Barnes 15 taking players on, creating chances will allow barney the opportunity to shoot regular. I would play him behind the front 2 should maddison leave.

New signings collective 10

KDH 10 linking up with barney and strikers will create scoreable opportunities.

Ricardo 5 if he plays on the wing, he will cut in and have plenty of chances.

Faes 5 headers from corners and free kicks

Souttar 4 as above

Kristensen 3 when barney and KDH are out of position to shoot, I see this chap having the final say a few times. As JJ too.

KDH is a dreadful finisher, can't pass very well most of the time

If all that came true we'd be the goat championship club.

I haven't tried to have it taken down :dunno: I just said there's a lot of repetitive threads, which happens every summer whilst we speculate on the club getting it's arse into gear. The general point is there's a Vardy thread for discussing Vardy stuff, doesn't need extra threads on different questions, it just clutters the page and re-asks stuff that's already discussed elsewhere.

This poll is typical FT I’m afraid.

This needs looking at objectively. If we know anything about the club at the moment, it’s that it’s in a state.

Who is going to be supplying these strikers with chances?

Maddison? He’ll go

Barnes? He’ll go

Tielemans? Of course not…

Surely not Ndidi and Soumare!

Albrighton?

Before wild predictions get made about how many goals we’ll score next season, we need a fookin midfield!

Almost seems like some people on here are actually happy we are going to the championship out of desperation to see Daka finally shine in Leicester shirt, if that’s the case then sorry you’re deluded. Never seen such baffling and unjustifiable sentiment to such a completely useless player who also cost us points last season. I would love to be proved wrong but would take preference in him being shipped before he’s given the chance.

City don't need to sell him. He could play Maddisons role. There will be new signings as well.

What’s the record for most goals in a Championship season?

Because Daka is getting no where near that.

In the right system with a good manager either or both could tear it apart. I could see Daka hitting 30+ in the unlikely event that we get our act together, keep him and make him the focal point of our attack.

He scored a shed load of goals in the right system in Salzburg, can't remember who the manager was though
