With the exception of one or two , I think we had the worst group of players with pour ball control and the ability to pass a ball to team, and Rodgers was to blame for our pay out from the back , and how many goals did we give away because players had bad touches, hope we get some new players who can use the ball and shield it and pass to a teammate

And welcome to the world of Foxestalk. The place where you moan about everything in equal measures, even if it doesn't makes sense.

Squad we had last season was one of our most talented but also the least motivated, worst mismanaged side I think we've ever had.

Glad to see the back of most of them. The sheer lack of effort and application for three quarters of the season then they come out with we're sorry etc. Only about 8 worth keeping and 3 of them are to see how they have recovered after long term injury.

Our main fault in the transfer market has not being able to sell players for £5-15m range, every player who isn't essential seems to leave on a free. In the last four years our biggest transfer fee received excluding the mega deals is Ghezzal for €3m, that's been a big problem for us. We can't cut losses on bad buys or sell non first team players.

This is because apart from I guess Praet, all the other players on the outside were either not good enough or frozen out to the point their value declined.

All fair points, although as someone said the other day Maddison and Barnes are players who look world calss when the team is playing really well, but struggle when not, even when they still get pretty good stats they aren't able to connect too well with the team.

Castagne now linked to somewhere I believe? Can’t recollect where.

At this rate, we’ll have no bloody squad left!

Kante - A lovely human being and fully understand why he left. I would have loved one more season from him and was a little gutted when he left.

Mahrez - Did he go about leaving the right way? No. Did he deserve to leave, yes. He’s one of our greatest ever players and it’s great watching him deliver for Manchester City. I was sad to see him leave, however I fully understand his desire to to.

Drinkwater - Made to look better by Kante. He pushed for the move and fell out of love with football. His career since then has fallen like a stone. I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest to see him go.

Maguire - He was good in his first season, however let’s not pretend Evans didn’t massively help him. He got his head on everything but we understood the floors in his game. For £80,000,000 we can’t help but be happy. You can see now that Manchester United has also realised the flaws. He’s much better in a three, than a two.

Tielemans - Whilst his form has been hit and miss, his time will be remembered for that FA Cup goal. I’ll inevitably reflect in a few years and if we don’t reach the heights we have previously, he’ll be remembered fondly. Great on the ball, needs legs around him as his engine is about as useful as a clapped out Ford Cortina (now). I understand his move to Villa, as it’s local and he doesn’t need to uproot his entire family network. Sometimes, that’s worth more than football. He’s been burnt with a biggish move previously.

Chillwell - I was in the minority on this, however I still think we undervalued him, as he’ll go on to be a good player for Chelsea. He was great for us, albeit his formed dipped I think when he wanted the move away. Disappointed to see him leave, as with impending retirements for Fuchs and Morgan we’ve lacked defensive stability and our defence has folded like melting chocolate all season.

Fofana - I’m still undecided on him if I’m honest. Was he that great, or was he just not as poor as our other terrible defenders. The manor of his exit was unprofessional really but we should have expected no less, after the way he joined us. I’d liked to have seen him in a Leicester shirt for a little longer, however I don’t really have a opinion on him either way.

Soyuncu - I feel more annoyed by the way he was treated by Rodgers and the fact no one at the club stepped in, knowing he was miles better than Faes and Amartey. I’m pleased he’s got himself a move and I look forward to seeing how he gets on.

Amartey - I’m glad he’s left, moreso to stop the bizarre lovin’ from the fans. Not really a centreback in all honesty. It will be interesting to see where he ends up and how he gets on. Happy to be proven wrong and he’s a half decent player.

Perez - I feel he was underrated for his teamwork within the setup and Rodgers silently removing him from the setup sort of coincides with our fall away. He worked hard and helped the midfield at least press. In many ways, he made Youri look a better player. I’ve never been sure on his best position but he’s done okay in Spain. He has the ability, however he needed replacing for someone that wasn’t Soumare, or Teté.

Schmeichel - Something clearly went wrong in the summer, as the transfer to Nice came from nowhere, which lead to Ward playing in nets. We’d have been better paying the extra £20m and keeping him as ever not being the shinning star he once was, he was light years better than Ward and Iversen.

and the ones that will leave ….

Maddison - It’s strange, as he’s a great footballer, but it feels like he’s that toxic workmate, that outperforms all others. I’ve gone through stages of really appreciating him and equally wanting him gone through his time here. He plays with an air of arrogance and at times makes awful decisions when on the pitch. Technically maybe our 2nd best player ever after Mahrez but he’ll always be in the bracket of “okay”. I’ll reflect on Youri more fondly, as I’ll remember Maddison for that missed penalty.

Barnes - He’ll go on to be a steady Inside forward and post decent numbers. If a top coach can get him to improve the defensive side of his game, without stifling his attacking potentially, then he’ll maybe go on to play for a top 6 club and grab more silverware. Similar to Maddison really and he’ll always be reflected on as “okay”, as despite the goals, he’s largely been abject as a team player.

Castagne - Steady and always did a job going forward. Not great defensively so he won’t be missed if we can get a good proportion of our original transfer fee back. He’s nowhere near a full fit Ricardo (in terms of ability) but he’ll be a steady backup fullback for Arsenal.

Agree with all of this, a good summary of where we/ they are at 👏

If you love them, let them go x

"You know that phrase, if you love someone set them free? I've always liked the sound of that - even if its logic is plainly horseshit. It's the equivalent of saying, ' If you like beefburgers, don't eat them' or ' If you hate London, go and live there.' Instead, I've adapted it slightly to read, 'If you don't love someone and don't want to hang around with them any more, set them free'. It just makes more sense."
