Lloyd Dyer.

Steve Howard.

Wash your mouth out Dyer - is a legend! No argument, end of. So there :P

Can't remember Steve Howard splitting opinions. He was good for us.

If you're going in that team, I would say Oakley split opinions from the people around me in the stadium in the league one season.

Soumare, or am I the only one that thinks after Rodgers left e began to look like a decent player?

He is actually quite Oldfield-esque (re earlier post).

The Yak.

Some appreciated that he scored goals. Others didn’t understand that his job was to score goals.

This.

Something like 11 in 20 wasn't it? Then again to be loved/considered decent by our fans you need to run around like a cvnt.

predates me but I remember my dad saying Tommy Wright divided opinion for a while, was the 92 Play off season that got him mass acceptance.

Also no idea where Izzet comes from - pretty much universally loved

Me & my dad argued over Gary Rowett - I thought he was a decent player in a poor side with a shite manager, dad thought he was shite.

Danny Tiatto - pashun vs headless chicken/donkey

Ryan Goalsmith - a few here (even beyond his famous chearleader) seemed to think he was going to be a worldie - showpony lightweight for me

Dyer definitely split opinions. Lots of fans saw him as a headless chicken, while I remember some actually thought he could've done a job in the Premier League.

Howard like Fryatt was good in the third division, but blew hot and cold in the Champ. There were plenty of fans that didn't take to him, myself included.

I think he'd be a decent player for us if he stays. If we plan on keeping possession, transitioning play through midfield, he'll be decent

Muzzy.

For some of a certain generation, the finest player of the MON era & the best AM we’ve ever had.

For others, say of my general height, weight & age, a lovable scamp of a midfielder who worked tirelessly for the cause alongside Lennon and, later, Savage and not without skills. But not in same league as say Weller, Draper, McAllister & Maddison.
