Do a bit of karaoke in the Jekyll down Welly Road, then off to NB's to see Disco Henry

It's not a proper night out in Northampton without a pint of warm, spiked Carlsberg and witnessing someone getting glassed.

If anyone does venture in to town on Saturday, stay away from the Auctioneers. I really can't stress that enough.

And The Bear.

Two places you need to wipe your shoes on the way out of.

No idea for parking on this one. Retail park off limits, and that car park by the away end looks tiny...

I've been to Northampton a few times over the last couple of years and always parked here without issue.  Probably have to get there a little earlier though. Anywhere down that road.

Proposed to my wife in the Bear, back when it was full of one-armed alcoholics, cops, and sex workers - with a carpet you needed a crow bar for to pry your shoes up.

”Ah gwan gwan,” bellowed the toothless, fat whore, beaming with anticipation. (*not the wife to be, she had teeth).

Went in a couple of years back and they’d turned it into a student pub - has it declined again?

This is also why my mental image of @The Bear is that he or she is either a fat toothless drunk woman of ill repute or a scrawny one-armed drunk Irish man.

Not been there for a long while, probably 4 years.

It was cash only, rough as fvck.

Stank of piss and was just disgusting.

It was so cheap, it took all the scumbags out of the pubs and made Wetherspoons look classy

The main car park next to the stadium will be off limits.  The road where the pin is will have parking although there's a massive warehouse that's just sprung up there.  If you carry on past the stadium down Edgar Mobbs Way there are quite a few big car parks down there.  I assume one or two of them might be open, just a fairly short walk.  I don't think there's any free parking

Don't park in the retail bit.

My father in law is a season ticket holder and is pretty clued up on this.  I'll double check with him.

We parked at Sixfields for the F1 this weekend, I’m pretty sure where the pin is on there, a new industrial building has just been put up. If your coming from the M1, on the roundabout before that, to the right looked to be a big area with a sign saying matchday parking £3.

Who's going and what line up are we likely to see?

I'll be there, hadn't planned on going, but I'm about 10 minutes from Sixfields and my brother-in-law bought some tickets in the home end and now can't go.

Plenty of parking on the retail park and a couple of Greene King pubs right across the road from the stadium.

I know its only pre-season, but not sure if there's a dedicated away pub. I'll probably be in the Walter Tull for a few before kick-off.

Pay for my airfare and i'm there mate!

If you find anywhere decent in town, let me know. I've lived here 5 years and I'm still searching.

You'll just find a plethora of homeless people, empty retail units and potentially some youths stabbing people outside McDonald's.

Did that frankies reopen after the fire.

Up at Sixfields?

I think it was a Red Hot, ironically.

Something else there now. Think it was before I lived where I do now.

I take it you collect your car from either the Golf course Bunker, to the left of the road, or from what appears to be the local sewers to the right of the road...

Here we go. Can't wait to lose and people start threads about us going down. Every season.

I think this fixture could be a lot worse than usual, unless we twat them.

- Just got relegated

- Low morale

- Players who want to leave

- New Manager

- Nowhere near the final squad

- Playing a new style that will take weeks to drill into the players

We are going to have the ball for large spells passing it sideways and the match thread is going to get toxic. That would be my prediction anyway.

What I hope we see are some nice moves, players playing fast one touch football and what I'm really hoping for, is for the manager to be move involved in the game if needed. Rodgers would always look glum and write into his notebook. I am hoping that if we are playing slow that Maresca stands up and shouts at the team (positively or ngatively) to try and get them going or maybe even hauls off players early who clearly aren't running. I have seen Mourinho on multiple occasions haul someone off early, and then win the game. I remember him taking Eric Dier off after 25 minutes for Spurs as they were 2-0 down and they won 4-2. Friendlies aren't the time to do that given players need fitness, but I'm hoping we get better man-management with the new man.
