In the sober light of day, some strange decision making by us and an incredible NZ defence were the difference, they deserved to win on the night. Knew our fate was sealed when we were held up followed by the knock on from the following kick.

Sport is weird, its more frustrating now when you know you have a team good enough to win and the one game we werent close to our best was the one that matters the most, but a lot more acceptable when we were simply shite like in 2019.

Losing when you've played poorly, especially when you know you should have been the better team will always hurt the most in sport. Especially in big games.

Yesterday was the angriest I've been in a while. Banter about Dickson aside (who, look, there's a reason he wasn't chosen to ref a world cup quarter final to begin with, he's not really good enough) we were just poor.

It was very disappointing. If we'd have played at the level we beat Fiji and Australia we'd have won that comfortably but we just weren't at the races. Respectfully, I thought Argentina were intensely average. But our discipline, execution and handling were extremely under par. Really shit way to go out.

If we'd just been murdered by the All Blacks in the semi I'd be more philosophical about it but knowing our team should have done a lot better, ugh.

Tough 1 to take because on tournament form it should have been Wales going through.
Wales beat themselves in the end, I know we mentioned the Adams hit soft or not but if he didn’t do it & Wales went in 10 nil at HT I think they win that game.

We didn't turn up like we should have.

We looked tired and leggy.

Sexton looked busted and we could have done with a bit more creativity from the half backs.

Compare NZ in play kicking to ours especially when it came to countering the quick line speed

NZ were brilliant in the breakdown and always have the ability to turn things in a moment.

Too many times, we'd solo breaks and the rest of the team weren't quick enough to support and left players isolated for easy turnovers/ penalties.

We didn't deserve to win but that doesn't make it any better.

Just gutted. I'd so much hope for this world cup.

Not only is the choir a load of pony but they also sing the anthems at 1.5 speed

I love watching Rugby for the anthems but this WC has been awful for it.

It doesn't help England having an awful anthem.

Fiji look well up for this.

Hope that kid in the Argetina top gets kicked out of the stadium for not giving the ball back for ages, its the only acceptable punishment really.

Oh la la Fiji, between the legs pass too

Curry becoming a liability..poor positioning & poor tackling skills..lost his team field position more times…Fiji growing in confidence…
