Watch the Portsmouth goal back and then decide how hard he worked? Made no attempt to stop their player advancing the ball once they won it back from the hopeless Carranza. Pretty awful from Winks really

I judged him over the 90 minutes. He worked hard.

This guy’s got away with murder for a lot of our fanbase.

Yeah he’s neat and tidy in possession but he doesn’t want to be at our club. He’s disrespected us as a fan base and a couple of his managers.

If you just turn a blind eye to that and welcome him back with open arms then you get someone you cannot rely on. A leopard does not change its spots.

His lack of tracking a runner for that goal last night is appalling.

Who do you play then?

Soumare who also wants out

Or Skipp who is just pathetic and would struggle to stand out at National League level

Counts for nothing- he could have stopped the goal which meant we drew the game rather than won it. The top players work hard for every minute of the game. Amazing how low our standards have fallen for what we as a fan base see as acceptable from these players.

Out of curiosity, do you have the same anger towards Carranza, Faes and Thomas too, who were pathetic in their role within the Pompey goal.

Winks scores very few, creates very little, can’t really tackle, bit slow, crap in the air and his keeping us ticking along, basically means F all happening .Trouble is he is one of our better midfielders🤢

I agree about this even up to Carranza at the top of the pitch who was bullied off the ball easily. Just an observation later in the game that thy got a free kick, out on their wide left. I can’t remember who it was of us, Ricardo I think, and I thought it was quite literally no different to the fair challenge on Carranza in the build up to their goal. Neither a free kick but just showed what we are dealing with, with the officials in this league.

The geezer went from playing triangles with JJ Rambo and Ricky to having Soumare BDR and hamza 😂 give him a break

Exactly - Winks had nobody to play football with later in the second half. He’s technically head & shoulders above the 2nd half midfield replacements that he was subjected to.

Do we have a true defensive mid since Wilf departed…..Winks, no, Soumare no, James maybe, but not being played as such, Skipp….likely not….Portsmouth number 7 ran the second half, nobody picked him up…..

It's on Marti because we've had opposition run through our midfield like they aren't there when it was Skipp and Soumare instead of Winks and JJ. It's awful to watch, no presence in the centre at all at stopping counters.

You tell the Barca fans that when Messi strolls around the pitch walking at a slow pace

You can get away with it more playing as a RW or CF and scoring and creating for fun compared to a DM who does not score or create anything ever.

I'm not sure this is true. I am sure they don't play for championship teams.

In order of the problems we have, Winks is pretty low down for me other than his contract situation. He is class at this level and could play in the prem still with better players around him making up for his lack of pace. He didn't cover himself in glory for the goal but in that instance he knew the player was past him and he wasn't getting back. Faes & especially Thomas much more culpable for me. His general effort is good and does more than most to drive us forward.

The other central midfield options are pretty poor aside James. Skipp is the single worse bit of business we have ever done, Soumare a disaster, Hamza reassigned. This is why I would favour Page getting a good amount of minutes to continue his development.

I agree and with regards to Page, it would be brave but I think we must be braver with blooding the youth, and just live with the drop ins quality during the process.

This again loops back to why the old guard get so many minutes compared to youth, is it contractual, ability gap is wider in staffs opinion, etc, but we cannot wait until they leave as their replacements in youth need bedding in before first XI contracts expire.

This is just the thing though, the fanbase won't do that. We'd give the likes of Aluko, Nelson etc about a month before the majority were calling them shit for every single mistake they make. See basically anyone that came through the academy. These are the same supporters that couldn't be satisfied with the likes of Chilwell, Barnes, KDH etc, players we'd realistically kill for now.

The likes of Winks and his antics/ego wouldn’t have got a look in under Pearson. Same with JV, he would have seen straight away that he’s not my cup of tea.

Abandoned to the U 21’s and left there until sold  - off you go we don’t want the likes of him here.

How we have fallen !!

I think his attitude stinks he sums up the apathy between players and fans.

Can't really be arsed watching him play piggy and the middle for 90 minutes with the centre halves.

He's the antithesis of a Leicester City midfielder for me. I just want a pair of midfielders that will work their arse off and get the ball forward as soon as possible.

We should be getting the ball out to Monga and Fatawu as soon as we can because doing so gives us the best chance of scoring goals yet with Winks, Vestergaard and Faes we seem to just want to take forever moving the ball out of the defence. We have an obsession with passing backwards or standing on the ball. In the meantime the wingers get doubled up on and the passing lane to them gets closed. So not only is it boring to watch us play so slowly, it's also killing any chance of creating goals.

Jordan James is a Leicester City midfielder through and through. He's exactly what Leicester fans want to see and Harry Winks isn't.

Pearson likely wouldn't of asked him to stay at the training ground

Harry Winks is currently our best midfielder.
