Every single action was negative last night, treating the ball like a hot potato with first time passes backwards, checking inside and passing it back to the edge of the box every time he attacked the wide areas, his confidence is on the absolute floor.

Well, I think Mavididi has got to be the last attempt of finding a striker for the season when he’s back fit

Significantly brighter today, looked more back to the Mav from the last championship year. 

 

 

Good save from the keeper here, I'd argue unlucky he's got a foot to that, but should be scoring.

Contributions today....

 

- A massive yawn just before kick off... made him look well up for it.

- Blocking a goal (keeper wasn't getting it for me... even so, still criminal)

- Missing the chance you've posted... Blackburn striker showed him how to do it later in the game

I will always prefer a winger that misses chances than a winger who does nothing i.e. Ayew, Reid.

 

That being said he's been missing some serious sitters recently.

All well and good looking threatening but he got in the way of Vestergaard’s header that was going in the bottom corner and he missed chances he had to score.

Deserves criticism today BUT he got into position to have 3 good chances in the box -  one of which he definitely should’ve scored. Most of our lot don’t even look like scoring except from 30 yard ‘worldies.’ If he can take a positive from today it’s that!

Big difference between players lacking quality (Ayew, Reid) and players with some quality that threaten the opposition but it hasnt been coming off (Mavididi, Monga).
