Put him as striker, and then can also play both Mukasa and James.

Manager needs the balls to play a not natural striker up front.

Why would you play Stiffy up front ahead of Daka?

Hes slower.

Less work rate.

Misses as many chances.

He thinks he's much better than he is. Fact is he's garbage with no end product. Very slow as well for a winger. Needs sacking off but Monga seems to be a replica. Where are the Marc Albrightons

Thinking they are better than they are is one of the biggest problems with the majority of this squad.

Genuinely think if you asked most of them they'd say they can do it in the Premier League. They probably blame where we are at the minute on the points deduction.

At least Daka knows what he wants to do, he's just not very good lol. Mavididi has absolutely lost the plot; gets the ball and genuinely has no idea what he wants to do

Monga's got basically the same output in a fraction of the minutes. He's got loads of scope to improve. He's capable of the unpredictable. Mavididi's defensive work rate is the only thing that makes him a credible choice but even that was non existent yesterday.

I would rather the unknown than known failure.  Daka isnt working.  Its as simple as that really.  Just because Mavididi isnt working in his current position it doesnt mean the same if he is tried as a striker.

Top managers all do it, if they dont have a player that works which is natural for the position, they just replace them with someone out of position whilst lobbying their DoF to sort it out.

Worked well with D.Gray didn’t it

The alternative to Gray up front was a certain Jamie Vardy.

Not quite as desperate times as we are facing now with the current two options.

I just see absolutely nothing from Stiffy to suggest he might make a competent striker.

Said it prior but he:

Is lazy

Doesnt press

Isn’t actually that quick

Isn’t good in the air or strong.
Is no better than Daka at finishing.

He hasn’t got the instincts to run into space to receive the ball when in his preferred position, I have zero faith he would do this upfront. Ball to feet with his back to goal, step overs and cut back for a second go if he has beaten his man until it’s time to pass backwards.  I thought I was disappointed in him this season but he’s playing to his ability.

Sadly replacing him for Monga would get the same results.  He only knows how to play beach football and filming tricks with his mates. Poor management and coaching haven’t improved him or developed him into playing in a team and using other methods than trying to nutmeg everyone.

All of our wingers (inc Ayew) are too greedy and lack the instincts and work rate of someone like Albrighton. They don’t realise a pass and move can be more effective than step overs.

He will learn a lot though once he’s at Man City.

Also he has missed some of the biggest chances this season. Stoke A and Cov H both spring to mind. Why do people still want to see him upfront.

Our wingers need to be put on their correct side, more difficult to double up on a winger who only needs to get it out his feet and whip it in Ala Albrighton. I guarantee we’d look more dangerous. Who knows Daka might read the odd early ball in and shin one in now and then. Mavs isn’t particularly quick but nobody in this league could do Fatawu for pace down the outside. If they want to cut in then, do it on your wrong foot.

Doesn't cross in the box, doesn't win any one v. one , doesn't head balls (he's 182 cm),  doesn't defend well. It's amazing that he spent a season on a senior Juventus team once.

I’d much rather we just played Monga. Mav won’t be here next season anyway, so just **** him off. I’d much rather we just play the  academy lads and **** off anyone who either doesn’t want to be here, or isn’t going to be here next season. I’d much rather we go down giving the academy lads a chance, rather than watching shit like Mavididi week in week out.

Play Mavididi as striker and put Monga LW.

He's played as a Striker when he was at Montpellier

He would probably be better as he can’t beat a cone on the wing still probably strike it straight at the defender though

The people who tend to call for it also make a lot of other weird statements

I don’t want to be negative because he has been great and doing just what we need… but does anyone else just get the Demarai Gray feels?

I just don’t think he will consistently enough make either the right decision or have the ability to execute the cross or finish.

he will get about 1/3 of the opportunities in the prem… he’d get the odd goal but i don’t think he will be more consistent than Gray.

I hope i’m wrong, because i like the bloke and he works hard. I just can’t shake the feeling though

Same amount of Championship goals (8) and more assists (4) in 24 games (1910 minutes)

Then Gray got in 3 season 72 games (4620 minutes) 8 goals, 3 assists.

So no not really.

Well that’s completely ignoring the step up in division.

knockaert had better numbers than demarai in the championship as well, didn’t do more in the prem though

So you can compare him with Gray, but I can't because it doesn’t suit you point.

Merely pointing out he numbers are better at the only level they have both played a decent number of games at.
