****sake. We really shouldn’t be turning down offers for him. It’s clear he’s done with us as much as we’re done with him.

Don’t know if it’s true. They won’t know the details.

I expect this is all to do with salary. He would have been on  quite a bit. And since having been relegated twice his wages have halved twice.
and for that reason he has given up.
just a theory.

Read the comments from page 1. Quite the contrast to the modern-day comments.

Thanks for making me look.

Imagine in 2026, people saying that he’s better than Barnes and will be sold for £40m within two years.

Totally infective again yesterday. Just wants the ball to feet facing away from goal, after which he tries a trick and loses it, or lays it off backwards. Never makes a forward run off the ball.

But then anyone with half a brain would have some self reflection, work on their cv (match day) and skillset to be desirable and valued by others. He would be stealing a living on minimum wage.

Only conjecture but guessing he is surrounded by yes men on the pay role. He hasn’t adapted and improved in the things that fail him every game.

His football style is like running into a brick wall every time even though there is an open door he can use.

sadly we are stuck with him unless a champ team is desperate. He can’t keep playing as he sucks any life out of the left wing.

Was he ever really any good? My memories of the early part of the Enzo season was that he was scuffing shots all the time.  The step overs were a problem in the early days. Never seemed to hit anything cleanly. Even after that, several years and relegations older and he's lost whatever pace he had, and every defender knows how to play him.

Not convinced he was ever on a big salary and we go him on the cheap. Would be surprised if we couldnt get rid of him somewhere in the next few weeks.

This bloke absolutely hates playing football. If he had any other skills he’d 100% be doing something else.

Very good point but he didn’t do much to help avoid the last relegation.

Yeah, similar to my recollection. Unconvinced by him first part of Enzo's season but then he hit a purple patch and I started to think he could be quite good before I started to have my doubts again as his firm dropped out defenders knew how to post him.

Mavididi was one of the lowest paid senior pros at LCFC last season - less than even Vietes. £10k a week.

Reported on various sites. Capology and Sportrac. Might not be 100% accurate but very good guide.

Turned out to be stealing a living and a bloody horrible attitude to go with it - think I can’t stand him more than Thomas and that’s saying something - get out of our club you absolute leech

Take whatever we get above 5 million for him, I don't know whether it's a lack of effort due to familiarity or the football leaving him but frankly his time here is over.
