Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez as no 8’s in Enzo’s system will thrive they’ve got decent wingers just need a good striker

Patson Daka. 80 mil. Been his dream to play for Chelsea I hear.

Absolutely this.

Regardless of what happens I really hope they already have a list and have put a few feelers out to agents.

Got to be a fast turnaround.

They’ll go straight to potter, they really like him. Have done for years

Probably you when you likened my Foxestalk.co.uk post to a Kangaroo Court.

Not sure where the correlation is here, you formed an opinion on Fabrizio’s post on the basis of zero facts from those involved and favoured hearsay.

Sounded like Kangaroo court judgement too me. :dunno:

Hey, if I am wide of the mark, so be it, but it won’t be the last time I am wrong this lifetime.

Might be in a minority but I think it would be an elegant solution if he goes. We get cash, he gets a new job, and we avoid a very awkward conversation around Christmas when it’s become clear his style won’t work in the prem

His style will work brilliantly in the prem, just not with the (lack of quality) players at our disposal

Exactly the style will work with the quality players he’d have at his disposal at Chelsea

Supposedly one of the factors that has encouraged Enzo to speak to Chelsea is the impending points deduction that we are likely to get. Does he not realise that Chelsea are also facing a similar deduction?

Tbh if we look at the previous asset stripping that Chelsea have done to us, it often doesn’t work. If they do poach Maresca after the opportunity we’ve given him and after such a short period of time I hope it’s a failure for both Chelsea and Enzo.

His style will work in the Prem, just not with us and our squad or likely squad additions.  It will work at Chelsea. I’m not going to wring my hands about it. If I was him I’d go. 99.9% of people would.  It’s Chelsea, London, huge club, vast step up, good players in a bloated squad, money apparently and a big wage hike. Basket case club but so is ours.

If he stays he gets sacked because we will be absolute bobbins. That happens and his stock falls. Whatever happens at Chelsea his stock either rises or is maintained simply because everyone knows it’s a tough gig for many off field reasons.

WILL he be offered the job?  Be madness if he is, but it’s Chelsea.

I don't believe the McKenna link at all. He's not a big enough name or personality to handle all those ego's at Chelsea, it'll be Potter all over again.

I predict he’ll have 2 good seasons at Chelsea an average 3rd season get the sack and then get a top job in Italy ideal for Enzo

Which begs the question(s) why would he continue to play that way? (Who knows, he might not....he will/would)

Surely any manager worth his salt adapts, pivots, gets the best out of what he has available. Surely that is more impressive that playing to an ideology.

And an even bigger question - Why is there an obsession to play this way from within our club and other clubs.

Hey, if I am wide of the mark, so be it, but it won’t be the last time I am wrong this lifetime.

I hate the farce that surrounds all of this.  Journo's chasing clicks, reporters regurgitating the same crap. Its like rolling news when a disaster has happened. For all we know, there has been the smallest amount of contact, or a deal has already been signed.

At the end of the day, this is a job. I have a sh1t hot developer on my team, and he's learnt a lot with us. But one day, one of the big boys are going to entice him over. He's be an idiot not to consider and see what he can get and consider if its the right thing for him. Same for Enzo / Mckenna. Even Corboran's team is doing it with us.

If Chelsea want to speak to you, you do it and listen to what they have to say. Doesn't mean that you don't like this job or you don't think you have a future here. Its just a different level of opportunity.  Enzo has every right to speak to them and my hate (or love) everything that gets discussed. This is life.

I hope he speaks to them and decides what he has here is better for his life and career. Only needs to look at pictures of Potter towards the end of his time to see how that job can chew you up. If he stays, im confident he will still put everything into it - he's that sort of person. But all this rubbish about him chasing a way out etc can f**k off.  If Enzo didn't speak to Chelsea, he would be an absolute tool.

FWIW, i think it's done now. As someone else said, think they have the players that will shine in his system and they know it and he knows it.

His "style" in the prem has just won it's 4th consecutive league title

It's not the style that won't work, it's the players playing it

This is a big quality of Enzo's though he would gain the respect, which is one of the main reasons we got promoted.

Not a chance he lasts that long!

I'd give him 6 months max!

Supposedly? LOL where did you hear that?

IMO if he leaves its because of the lack of love we showed him and his team during spells this season,, especially when we had a blip late in the season. 3/4s of those who voted in here wanted him out and many cant wait for him to fail as they know his system "wont work". How they know I dont know, maybe they had a season on Football Manager or something.

The very fact that he is being linked to clubs like Sevilla and Chelsea shows how much potential people see in him. Its just a shame that many of our fans cant see what he has done for us in extremely challenging circumstances.

I think for a manager that plays on the relationship between the players and the fans, it's probably already gone too far for him to come back around now.

If this is a play from his journo mate for a contract rise it's blown right back in his face.

I think he's done his job here. He's shone a light on the incompetence behind the scenes and done some good stuff with the fans.

But as soon as results went south he started sulking, including walking off against qpr without acknowledging the fans and then he's briefed his mates in the media. That's worrying ahead of a season where we're going to lose lots.

A fair chunk of the fanbase are never having him either.

N’didi, Winks KDH or Cole, Caicedo Palmer

Is it Cole Caicedo Palmer (middle name) or Cole Caceido-Palmer (hyphenated surname?)
