Someone did a study years ago and this turned out to be the most miserable day of the year - probably a combination of Christmas in the rear-view mirror, a long way to next holiday and lack of sunlight.

 

(We’re talking on average here; I appreciate it is sunny today in Leicestershire.)

Yeah I know that but I'm suggesting next Monday is as bad or worse on all of those metrics. OK there are 18 minutes more sunlight forecast for next Monday but that's more than cancelled out by it being another week since everyone was last paid.

Overe here its currently -15 celsius (with a feels like of -22).

 

It's blue alright, cant feel me knob.

Losing at Coventry at the weekend together with the 5 clubs behind us all winning, and us having to wait another 7 days before trying to undo some of the damage done, hasn't exactly helped with that feeling. Even the distraction of wall-to-wall snooker on tv has disappeared this week.

The state of Iowa  is voting today for who they think should be the republican nominee for the presidential race. They have a winter storm right now  with temps as low as -22c

 

 

and here is an absolute winner of a comment by Donald Trump:

 

  1. The candidates have been urging their supporters to brave the weather, with Trump saying: "Even if you vote and then pass away, it's worth it."

 

im just speechless about him really now…

I was attempting to put the facts to you that the system was introduced in 1998/99 and although Bliar had reservations it was still rolled out.

 

Soon after flaws in the system were known but it didn't matter as every sub-postmaster by that time had signed to say they would make up any shortfall irrespective of how that discrepancy had been arrived at. So it has just been a "last 10 years" as you eluded to it has been going on for two decades!!

 

I have said successive Governments and politicians of all shades cannot hold their heads up high.

I think Daggers explains it perfectly above , the problem was mainly highlighted in 2009 so to try and blame Labour is ridiculous. 
Rolling out a system is different to covering up a problem.

She (and people like her) are largely what is going wrong in the world. I mean, her ex husband sued her for releasing a pornographic video of them.

If anyone thinks Labour had time to act on the issue in that space of time then I believe they should only venture outside in safety hats under the guidance of a full time carer.By the time of the election, Bates still had no idea himself of the full scale of the problem. 
 

The issue became known across the Parliamentary estate during the Cameron years. The Conservatives chose to ignore it. Then they chose to reward the person conducting a corporate cover-up who had repeatedly lied to Parliamentary committees. 
 

The Government is the sole shareholder.

I thought it was the third Monday of the year and as the 1st of January was a Monday it’s early this year.

The  right wing press has gone stupid on it very few politicians can take credit, locally probably only Bridgen and plenty call him a nutter. The inquiry is unearthing more and more and certainly now Jason Coynes evidence in 2003/4 has been brought out opons up a whole new can of worms. The incompetence and corruption at the Post Office is staggering but also BEIS and whoever has briefed the various Ministers need to be looked at as well as the corrupt NFSP. On a positive at least the general public will get to see Jason Beer KC who is quality do his thing and seeing him put some of these horrible cvnts to task has brought some comfort for the victims of this scandal

While i think Trump is going to win the republican nomination easily, Desantis just seems like waste of space to me.

 

I think Haley is more personable of the two but it's just unfortunate how Republicans are so far up trumps horrible arse.

 

Trump is going to beat Biden.

On the BBC News this morning they interviewed a Trump supporter, who had just cast his vote and said he could not understand how anyone else would not vote for Trump.  It really does not bear thinking about the damage he could cause if re-elected.
