Wanya Marcal signs new contract until 2026

really like the look of him have him on the bench most games and look to get him on

Yesterday tells me he needs to be playing regularly. 10-15 min cameos no good, as he got better the longer he played. Good loan next season, and this lad can be a player.

Didn't he get hooked against Birmingham in the cup? He was okay last night but every other game he's featured in since his "exile" he's looked slow or lacking in energy. Sure he needs more minutes but we can't carry any passengers in the run in either.

I thought he matured a little last night.

His best performance by far. A marked difference to his performance against Birmingham in the third round.

Yep, a real step-up last night. First match where I've thought he could play at a high level.

Was a threat to their defence, but also showed good maturity when he couldn't get through, keeping possession for the team, playing sometimes tricky passes infield or down the line etc.

Promising. Hope we see more of that sort of performance from Wanya.

All the plaudits deserved…No loans for next season

Wanya sits well. Behind  Mavididi has his cover, and with  odd rotation.

Some 60-70minute off the bench Cameos..

Enzo will see and work out his potential career steps.

He actually gives Mcateer a leg up,

Mcateer does not this or next season need to be rushed…

And some fans should learn not to get on a players back or case.

Mcateer has had several excellent performances, plus we have learnt

that after the  first injury,it takes awhile to refind rythm & Spark.

Cynics can ruin a squads season…

lay off in building up agendas and snidely cheap remarks…

Enzo has shown,he knows and sees, which players need time on the bench

and motivating,with reselection…

Not one single player from the squad has not been worth a 2nd 3rd or 4th look.

of course some slip in form, but sofar Enzo‘s touch on every single player has been excellent, and FT from some corners still hasn’t understood the  whole  concept..

One should also get that Enzo and coaches are learning during their first steps.

also the players being asked to jump on the train.

I don’t think I’ve seen anything from Wanya to make me think he’s the answer to any of our problems.

He showed promise against Bournemouth including dribbling past his fullback a few times. It would allow Mavididi to be rested during a game like last night when he was having an absolute nightmare.

Been a nightmare for about 10 games. Got everything about him to a decent player at the highest level but doesn’t have a football brain.

Was great v Bournemouth and not a sniff since

Assume enzo doesn’t want to expose him to the pressure we’re under

this is another problem we’ve given ourselves by dropping off it. Being secure would have enabled us to give youngsters like him some invaluable competitive senior football.  So we’d maybe have a enter idea how they’d cope and if we need to buy in their area or not
