Good move, hopefully get him a permanent move somewhere in the summer. Now need to move on Ward and just have Smithies as 3rd choice

Why does this club struggle to sell players we don’t want so badly?

 

This guy was player of the season last time he was on loan in The Championship and has had Premier League experience where he did ok since. We’ve know for 4.5 months or more that he wasn’t wanted here.

 

How have we ended up with just a loan back to The Championship? Our ability to shift players we don’t want on anything other than loans or free transfers is appalling.

Glad he's got a move, he's been properly ****ed around by the club, if we had a competent DoF he would have easily got a move in the summer rather than sitting around doing nothing for half a season.

Teams don't have the budget to buy players in Jan. Not really sure why we couldn't sell him last summer though. I'm pretty sure he'll be sold this coming summer but it could be a case of we are asking too much for players. Realistically, how much do we think iversen is worth? He is technically our 3rd choice keeper but could be 1st choice at most championship clubs.

probably no one simple answer to this - but i'd suspect in Iversen's case it's always going to be hard to sell a player with PL level experience, the expectations from the player are probably to continue at that level, the value of the player probably reflects that.  If we're seen to be selling players undervalue it weakens our bargaining position on all other deals.

 

Also, i suspect we're no worse than any other club - we just never read about such instances elsewhere,

i believe the money we want for some players can be unreasonable.

I remember when, myself included, said we didn't need to sign Mads because he had a capable keeper in Iversen. 

 

Would rather we got some money coming in but I guess that can wait. Got nothing against Iversen so hope he can secure a permanent move somewhere and start his career properly.

Bit odd as Enzo knew in the press conf that Iversen was leaving but still apparently said he couldn’t bring anyone in at the moment

Because he's championship level and many clubs don't have the money at said level. We also might prefer him to have a good half a season to boost his value.

Feels like he's putting pressure on the club to get some signings done. Especially as he's let slip the Ndidi news!

 

I'm not stressed though, someone will come in for sure. We've got the money, the appeal and now the space to register one more player!

Excellent news, frees up space for a new signing. Hope he can do enough to secure a permanent deal there or elsewhere in the summer.
