Basically we want loan with obligation to buy if we go up, Inter don't want that because if we don't get promoted then Sensi walks for free?

It sounds like they may be worried about possibily losing him for nothing if we send him back at the end of the loan.

Yeah that can only happen to our players

We have become one of those penny-pinching Italian/Turkish clubs haven't we.

Eventually they'll just have to pay us to take him. Great stuff.

What do they expect, no ones going to pay millions for a crock (apart from us). If they keep him he'll spend the rest of the season as an unused sub and leave on a free anyway because no chance they renew his contract if he stays.

It's all because his contract is up at the end of June so they can't loan him with an obligation and we won't pay the money in full now. The only current option is a loan with an obligation on promotion, but Inter are worried in case we don't get promoted and they don't get their 2M euros.

I suppose we could have done a loan with obligation after X (achievable) number of games, but then we prob didn't want to pay the money until the end of the season and again Inter would be worried he may not achieve the required number of games due to his injury record.

So now Inter would need to extend his contract by a year and do a loan with obligation.

This all seems really complicated, but it seems these complications are at Inter's side and not ours.

Can’t as he’s out of contract so he’ll be at the job centre

Yes but they're hoping for a gullible club to come along and buy him , Surprise surprise along comes Leicester.

This clearly ain't happening until the thread hits 100 pages.  More bad pasta puns and repetitious Fab tweets please.

Can imagine Enzo is gonna be losing his s**t if this falls through after weeks of negotiations, would leave us literally 48 hours to get someone else in, panic buy

Agreed but they are hoping to get a fee for him from somebody.

In fairness he's worth the punt for the rest of the season with an option then to buy. This of course means they have to offer him a new contract which they don't seem inclined to do.

I mentioned  this yesterday

how on earth do we get to this stage of a deal without sorting basics out like this ?

who is doing the negotiations????

If we’re the only game in town then they take what we’re offering or the player sits out till June and goes for free. Can’t believe that inter can be happy to walk away from a couple million euros.    If it’s a loan with obligation on promotion then they have to give him an extra year because the loan must run till June 30 (all contracts run till end June) and then he becomes a free agent.   But if they give him an extra year and we don’t go up then they could be stuck with a player they don’t want to pay for another season.  Clearly they want it both ways but then they are a bigger club !

Like I said - it should have been sorted a while ago, not scrambling around 48 hours before the window shuts

I thought that they wanted him off their books?  He's Inter's Dennis Praet.

I would have thought that this shouldn't have been too difficult.

They aren’t tho? They are getting half a million for a player with 6 months of his contract left

We are 1/66 to get promoted.  1/66 !

Throw the bastardi an extra 30,000 euros and they can place a bet that gets them their freaking 2 million in that case.
