Is he?

I thought he died in a shower.

Or did he reappear post mortem in a shower?

Did I dream this?

Was anyone a Milk Monitor?

No, but David Kier pushed me into a crate of empties. I’ve no idea what his punishment was, but he waited for two years, resentment breeding, until I got to senior school so he could bully me mercilessly for a year.

Putting up Christmas decorations in December. 😑

I does get earlier and earlier doesn't it?

I blame retail/commercialisation  interests and the fact that, in our multicultural city, there now seems to be some festival/celebration or another, monthly.

Once one is ended, lets get on with the next.

No wonder you're now bitter and twisted. :P

I don't mind this tbh. The dark gloomy days+nights are so depressing once summer is over. All the lights and festive things are ok by me.

Kerbside autos? Thank goodness they are far fewer.

The last street I lived on had two and their driveways and road outside their houses looked like spillage from the Torrey Canyon (younger readers may need to Google).

One of them had the shear hypocrisy to give a bollocking to a couple of youngsters for chalking on the pavement too.

Rather see chalk than oil and grease.

Years ago I "borrowed" my bro-in-law's block paved drive to service my Ford Sierra whilst he was on holiday.

No problem until I found the oil sump plug was jammed. I decided to get a hammer to whack the wrench to loosen the plug.

Result: plug sheared off and cracked the sump.. litres of dirty black oil poured out onto his prized drive.

No amount of detergent and scrubbing would remove that stain. Even 3 days of work and it was still there.

He has never forgiven me, even though they moved house several years later.

Haven't seen one of these on the road for years.

Kind of revolutionary at the time, with a Wankel rotary engine being used in a car.
