What were you expecting before Match 1?

  1. 1. How many points did you expect us to have by this stage of the season?

I would have guessed around 85 points by the end of the season so using that logic is would have been 51 points at this stage ratio wise. Which would have been 7 and 8 points behind Southampton and Ipswich respectively.

45ish because I never saw us getting much higher than the play offs.

The biggest surprise has been seeing how much worse this division has become in 10 years. The finishing has been bloody awful. Half of them can barely put 3 or 4 passes together. It might get called competitive but everyone from about 10th downwards are tramps fighting over chips.

Is this a precursor to making excuses for us not going up from here?

I'm not sure how it could be viewed that way, it certainly wasn't on my mind.

AFCON didn’t worry me,because I believed we would lose our AFCON players.

Though I am positive and thought the changes would have a positive effect.

I also believe in 3 pts every game, until opposite is proven..

But though I stand fast in my support and are not shocked one way or the other by results..

I honestly had no expectation, but hoped we could of  push for the play-offs

So far club,Enzo-management team, squad and individuals have simply suprised

me  how it all clicked as well as it has..

For different reasons,I have been pleasantly suprised how both ourselves and Ipswich have consistently performed, but carry a smirk that projects

that simple Why not.

I don’t get the negative vibes on the forum, nor the individual player critic.

I went for 35-44.

I thought that the malaise from last season was deeply ingrained and would continue.  That Maresca has dispelled it so quickly is his biggest achievement imo.

We have massively outperformed my expectations.  Honestly I thought we would struggle to make the playoffs.  The league is worse than I thought, but we also had about as good a transfer window as you could possibly have in terms of manager and players in and out.

A lot of people on here thought, and aired views, of a double relegation

I remember. At the time I never agreed.

The quality of the league isn't great. It would take a massive effort to be relegated again, especially with our squad.

On the other hand, I didn't expect to be top of the league with this many points at this stage, but I expected us to be in the top 6. I appreciate Marsca is changing the way we play but any half decent manager should have our squad, with our resources, top 6 minimum.

I thought we’d be in a much tighter pack with Southampton and Leeds and maybe someone else. The way we adapted to this league has been impressive.

Put 45-54 as it was around what I’d hoped but in all honesty I had no idea what to expect. I felt like we should have hired a manager and made transfer deals much earlier but was honestly worried that we’d sink like a stone.

Its gone pretty well.

Pulling the trigger early on a manager would have been the wrong call. Names like Parker, Smith and god forbid Jesse Marsch would have been disastrous. We criticise the decisions at board level a lot (and rightly so) but I'm proud that we landed on Enzo. The bloke just seems to get it, cuts through the bull and has a great relationship with the fans from vids circulating. Adore the bloke!

How many points would you have predicted we would have had after 28 games?

I admit in advance that I will be highly sceptical of anyone voting for option 1 :)

I imagined we would walk it.

I thought Vardy would have been so, so much more potent though 😞
