Is it that Yorkshire arrogance thing? You know, God's own and all that. If it ain't Yorkshire, it's shite.

Really ****s me off.

I hate people and places that continually big themselves up.

Insufferable willy pullers

I live and work in Leeds too.

Leeds fans used to annoy the hell out of me. Weirdly, they don't seem to as much these days.

Just like any fan base, they have their fair share of loud, over confident divs but most that I know / talk to are pretty level headed.

Praying for a win on Friday though..

Yeah likewise. Moved to Leeds last year and know a few Leeds fans. Was in my local when they played Plymouth the other day.

Generally most of them are sound.

But their INTERNET fans? Holy mother or God. One of the top 5 worst English online fanbases. Some absolute delusional helmets.

Reckon Leeds might be the UK city with the most regular FoxesTalk residents? Think there might be more of us than London these days?

Only one way to settle this!

It's like they are all insufferably smug variations on the guy from the crying into your hovis video, but they disappear off the face of the earth when they lose, so you can't even enjoy the "WHAT'S WRONG WIV YA LEEDS" meltdown. Best you'll get is a post telling you they made more noise and "won the singing"

I recall a Leeds fan posting on a BBC forum after the match that we won 3-1 or 4-1 a few seasons back. He was basically spinning that Leeds had 'schooled' Leicester because they gave us a couple of tap-in's and drew the second half 1-1! That said, he did get abuse from a few other Leeds fans.

I work with Leeds and Forest fans, both are equally as overly confident as one another.

The Leeds fans I work with are supremely confident that they’re going to beat us and eventually win the league. He’s even talking about them breaking the points record.

Forest fans are something else all together they’re so deluded it’s unreal, the way they talk about them, you’d think they had, had the success we’ve had over the last decade. And they’re all supremely confident they have a valid mitigation with their FFP breaches, because in Johnson…. Somehow the rules don’t apply to them because they’re Forest. Twats…..

How do you find Barnsley?

I lived there for 18 months.

At the time

Barnsley fans awful

The Pigs as bad as spuds fans

The Owls a great bunch even went to some games with them.

Are we in the top 5 by any chance?!

I tend to find Leeds fans in Leeds are fairly self depreciating and embrace the Leeds are falling apart thing quite well. I think they’re quite funny as a fan base based on the ones I interact with. Square Ball being a good example, they’ve gone all professional with it now but I remember the 13/14 season the podcasts were hilarious and the actual fanzine was funny as well (my mate used to help sell it so I used to flick through the left overs).

Absolutely not disputing they have some right nasty bastards in amongst them too though, and the ones who tend to have picked Leeds in the 70s and are from elsewhere and the ones on the internet are a special breed, granted.

By contrast, our fanbase very much reflects the city of Leicester, in that we are generally self-deprecating and humble

There definitely is something in this with regards to what you’ve mentioned with Nottingham and Leeds. You could probably delve in to this for hours but I get the impression that people who were brought up in those places have a bit of local identity, whereas I think we struggle a bit with that in Leicester. It’s reflected in the support for their teams.
