If people think Soumare is now a decent player you need to watch a different sport

He's always had the potential, he's now showing it

There are still some concerning aspects to his game that he'll never get rid of. Interesting to see him play alongside Winks to see if it's possible for him to control a midfield.

More consistently good bits of play though, and a much greater energy about him.

Was watching a clip of Paul Scholes talking about Pogba earlier and how he needed someone in his ear all the time and constantly needed telling or he'd be away with the fairies.  Immediately thought that sort of sentiment applies to Bouba.  Though for different things, generally the space he needs to cover.  I'd also like to see him partnered with someone more confident on the ball than Wilf, but needs must.

They used to put people who sat on their own in a corner laughing in Carlton Hayes.

Yes they did and when that was full they moved them to the Towers.

He can’t take his foot off the gas now; he needs to put the same effort we’ve seen over the last couple of weeks into every game. He’s set the bar for himself, and anything less is unacceptable.

Some player, by the way, when he can be arsed. He was good again today and has been one of our best players over the past month.

Look he hasn’t been a great signing at all there’s no mistaking it. But he did join just as things under Rodgers were about to fall off a cliff. He was very young & in a new environment which wouldn’t have helped.

I’m not saying he’s about to turn into the reincarnation of Yaya Toure or someone (he definitely is) but we’ve hardly been stable since he joined.

His profile is absolutely perfect for the Prem. On the ball he can look like a machine at times. Funny player.

He was not even playing for Maresca last season.

I was thinking the same. A year of bedding him in against easier opposition and you just wonder where he could be.

I always wondered why all the hate before when he played so little for us yet he has always shown glimpses of brilliance; much better than some players who were consistently picked. Typical FT.

When Cooper picked him, Cooper was crucified. Now RVN does the same and he is a genius.
