was told by someone who regularly hosts business related events at the King Power Stadium that even the management of the booking rentals and coordination of them by the club has gone downhill.

I've always said stories like this and many others should be all KPFC fans need to realise that this has never at any point been about King Power's love for Leicester City.

If they cared then, they'd care now. We got sucked in by a good story and a lot of us woke up. Sadly some never will.

always wonder why we've never bothered to name our stands

No history apparently. Just like the lack of statues. Anyone would think were a club like MK Dons, when in fact our history whilst just being in this stadium trumps that of 80% of other clubs entire history.

We have done before but just seemed to fade away.

Gary Lineker Stand, BMI Baby stand etc.

When you think about it, it's absolutely outrageous that we named a stand after Lineker after he helped save the club and then decided to rename it a few years later.

Talk about having no respect for our own history.

True, unless we get lucky with a local business person or local consortium. Even then, it might be a long shot.

Easiest PR move possible

North: Banks End

East: Morgan Stand

South: Vardy End

West: Lineker Stand

These statues in the midpoint of each stand

Then a big 2015/16 group one in 'Claudio Corner' between the Vardy and Morgan stands

Could do the whole thing for a week's worth of saved wages for Winks and Vestegaard, and it would last decades.

This has always been one of many signs that our fanbase don't seem to value the history the way other clubs do.

I know there's some of us who do, but there's not a chance you'd get away with renaming the Jack Charlton stand at Leeds the Kenwood Kettles stand. No one gave a flying **** when we did it to the Lineker stand.

It's even worse there's just North, East, South, West now.

We spend a lot of time moaning about how the KP/Walkers took away the soul but we have won more at this stadium and had more prestigious games than we ever did at Filbert Street. There was a real chance to build on that. But it's regressed massively. We don't even try to establish it and stand names/statues would at least go some way to towards trying.

Even the way King Power have been able to plaster their brand everywhere with no backlash. I get that the success plays a part in that but the way they don't honour anything that's not to do with them absolutely stinks the place out too.

Been crying out for this for ages. So many stadiums you go to have statutes, even clubs that have achieved far less than us.

Vichai did an incredible thing for us and I don't mind him having the statue, especially since it's a memorial too.

But then to not have a single other statue of players or managers that brought us glory seems crazy. It would be a huge thing for PR with the fans. Could have unveiled them for the 10 year anniversary game, would have brought far far more viewers to the game too.

Any new owners get themselves in the fans' good books if they sanction statues of the legends around the ground.

Vardy, Banks, Lineker are certs.

The thing is, I don't think many people actually knew it was the Lineker Stand to begin with. There wasn't really anything commemorating it, and I only ever heard it called the North Stand or Family Stand. It was remarkably easy to remove that aspect because it was never really there.

It’s one of the things I despise about King Power. They have absolutely zero interest in trying to show our history.

I think the only way we get owners who are going to show any interest in our history is if it's a local billionaire. Most foreign owners only really care about advertising their own brand and culture.

Potentially but I do think king power are the worst end of it.

We had a Fosse Stand for a short while. Better name than Spion Kop. We left that at Filbert Street and it can't be recreated.

You can hardly blame them when King Power is blasted everywhere. What chance have the fans got to influence anything.

image.thumb.jpeg.2c5f679d97182094c0f6c70149f0e0b7.jpeg

King Power apparently Est 1884, Whilst the reference to Leicester City FC is hidden behind the two screens.

We were promised a museum and loads of fans donated items on loan many of which the club 'mislaid' and the museum faded away just like every other aspect of the stadium that reflected it was the Home of LCFC.

Now it's just a big advertising board for KP and a mausoleum to Vichai. As sad as his death was so much of the grounds should never have been given so much prominence to him and at the very least the Statue should be in the memorial garden.

Plenty of stadiums  are much better at recognising their existence as a football club and their history and current successes
