Cannon has a much higher ceiling than Hirst.

Based on what evidence? I think this season shows otherwise, Ipswich were a shadow of their usual selves without Hurst look how their form tailed off when he was injured.

Highly doubt we'll sign an attacker, unless we offload Cannon or Daka. Enzo has said many times this season that only three strikers make the squad. One needs to go, alongside Iheanacho to leave us with two and a squad space. It is the depth out wide and the high 8 positions which is more of a concern IMO.

Vardy, Daka, Cannon is not a PL quality strike force IMO. The lack of game time he gave Cannon was disappointing, he should have got him ready from the Prem.

100% agree mate, just can't see another four first team striker situation at the club, when only one plays.

Vardy lost his speed so scoring won’t come easy

Daka not a premiership striker

cannon not had much game time

going to struggle for goals next season

Hence why we will definitely be in the market for a forward this summer.

Cannon will be loaned out. Daka may leave too.

Enzo has also shown that he does not want Vardy playing week in, week out at his age. I think we will definitely be in the market for a forward.

Logical move for cannon Is norwich. Josh Sargent rumoured to be off and they bid for cannon last summer

What price is being banded about for Cannon? Had him for a season and saw him play a tiny handful of games. Never sell for less than we bought, feels like he wasn't even given a chance. Poor decision unless you can breakeven. Loan at worst, keep at best.

Three out of 4 of the top topics in the transfer section are of players who were signed for respectable sums but have either contributed little or not as much as anticipated.

Each signing is fairly recent. Two of them our youngish, up and comers. I dont think any of them are "bad" players. In fact, in a different time could contribute to a team at a similar level.

Regardless of successes like Fatawu, we need to seriously improve this side of our business which has been a failing for some time.

Not that it necessarily means that much, but on the WYS podcast last night Rob Tanner said that he thinks the club plans to sell Daka, keep Cannon and buy a new striker who is good enough to be our number one choice up front. In other words, our strike force next season would be *new player*, Vardy and Cannon.

He also said that he thinks the club wants to keep KDH for at least another season.

Well - great minds...

Well that sounds just great, no idea how the finances stack up, but yes please!

He deffo has potential, sell daka and keep him.

Our budget is probably under 20 million, so not sure how people are expecting us to replace half the team.

Possibly 4 loans 3 or 4 free transfers and two or three £6 to £7 million pound players. But I take your point, a decent striker is likely to blow all our budget. Stick with Cannon and Vardy and see if we can get someone who can play the false 9 role in emergency or alternative system.

While it may make sense to loan out Cannon. We're not going to be challenging for anything so we might as well keep him here and let him find his level in the premiership.

Personally I think he would do brilliantly playing of a big No 9.

In the Tony Cottee mould.

But we'll have to wait and see what Enzo thinks.

Enzo might not be the head coach within the next week!

You’d like to think we will sort that, then decide on outgoings.
