Such a shame the leicester road ground is so empty, such potential with a stadium like that.

Efl status, i remember the old Hinckley united board spoke highly about getting into the football league with that stadium. I think when it was opened in 2005 they targeted a five to six year plan to get into efl. Another club that chased a dream and fell well off target and suffered as a club.

Best way forward id say is see hinckley afc and leicester road merge. Seems pointless having both battling against each other. Afc Hinckley United at Leicester Road i can see being a much better project and attracting the fans back. Hinckley afc have been playing outside of town for too long... i fear the same with Nunny Boro if we dont return to the town within the three year target.

They will never merge - and if they did, they lose support because of how toxic it got. The four directors what remained at Leicester Rd have got some front and one in particular has an awful history within NL football.

Sincerely hope AFC keep progressing and eventually get a plot.

I still say one of the biggest turn-offs at Harborough is that it's an awful place to watch football. It badly needs a permanent stand with some proper terracing and its own facility rather than having to walk what I feel like is to the leisure centre for food/drink. I know I often sound like I am down on Harborough but it was a similar vibe at Anstey last season and it's a lot better place to watch football now they have reconfigured the layout a bit. I am not a huge fan of Coalville either but they had started to get it right by the time they sadly left Step 3.

Me and @Finnaldo spoke about how a little bit of permanent feature (at St Neots in that example) makes it feel more like a ground, less like you are watching a game down a leisure centre. Just think it sub conciously makes people feel like they are at something more

Is there some regulation that would stop the leicester city womens team playing there?  Seems a perfect sized stadium to host them rather than having 3,000 in a 30,000+ stadium.

As I understand there’s a history with Leicester and the aforementioned HLRFC directors CosbehFox mentioned where Leicester have said they’ll never play a game at that stadium again. Goes back to the United days.

Along with the bizarre ownership of the stadium - stadium owned by one party, changing rooms another, bar another.

I remember weirdly in late 00's Aston Villa reserves used to play a few home games their, not exactly that close to Birmingham.

Easy to and from Bodymoor Heath probably the thinking there

Same at St.Ives and Barwell imo, both feel like football clubs rather than a GOALS franchise. I get they're building, but the set-up at Harborough is just meh. It's a shame because they've nailed the beer and food pricing in the away end. Fine, the beers are just tinnies, but the grub is more edible than the crap we now serve up at Latimer Park (now we've sacked off the outstanding pizza van for greed).

Pleased to see my home team Woking FC seem to have pulled away from the relegation places a little under new boss Neil Ardley.  New owners coming in too, hopefully the start of a new era and challenging to get into the EFL finally.

I’m guessing not many people in Halesowen are bright enough to understand that weather varies across the country. If I read one more “But it’s been mild here all night” comment…

Ample room for their 600 average attendance.

Needs a bit more context than that.

They lost their original ground - a cracker in the centre of the town but it was constantly flooded (like a lot of things in Worcester).

The club essentially had to start again after years of playing at other grounds bankrupted them (Kidderminster, Bromsgrove).

They play at Claines Lane (effectively Worcestershire’s Holmes Park) and it’s simply not adequate or any room to grow.

With Sixways, they will get regularly four figures and can run their own events from it. It’s not ideal but it’s better than what they have

It’s a modern tidy ground so does lack the old features such as tired looking flakey paint and old rickety stands but it doesn’t make it a bad place to watch football. Far from it. And improvements are to be added by the end of the season with a new 150 seater stand, further turnstiles and a new catering and directors unit being constructed.

Boro win 4-1 at home to Wednesfield, freezing afternoon in beduff. Pretty straight forward victory, no complaints. Wednesfield goal came out of nowhere. Attendance of 379, expected more but only guess the weather... but ive known it worse. Next week its us and 3rd place Coton Green. Who usually attract 30 fans, expecting a big crowd of 600 at coton i think, a few tamworth fans may decide to attend seeing as they dont play till Sunday... so police leave cancelled 😒

Get in there! Coalville 2-1 Selston

It turned into quite a fiesty game in the end with a sin bin for bad language and a Selston coach being sent off.

Glad we managed to come away with a deserved victory. Still a long way to get to where we need to be at this level, but glad we're managing to string some results together now.

Made the trip to Stamford today to watch Harborough. Good amount of bees fans made the journey to see us win 2-1 and the drama of a 97th min penalty save to bring home the three points. Quite a turnaround in form with 10 points out the last 12.

Quorn 2 - 3 Long Eaton

Quorn’s charmed luck finally ran out to worthy winners despite having key players out due to injury & holiday. Quorn’s Midfield too lightweight to cope but Garnett & Loughlan up top for Long Eaton utterly outstanding in movement, open play, attitude & press.

My 1st game since end of last season.

The quality difference is stark...

Still an entertaining game.

Sad to see how much the attendance has dropped although assume the freezing weather had an impact
