This is what happens when a Trust recognises that it should be acting in the interest and coordinating the actions of the entire supporter body - rather than sitting on its collective self satisfied arse and achieving the square root of FA.

They've achieved cheaper tickets for kids and a bar area. Which is decent, but in reality hardly anything relatively speaking. The tickets are frozen at a higher price and they've only committed to exploring further options.

You post that for an unnecessary attack on fellow Leicester fans.

Wolves are a great club. Very fan centric and always have been. A very clear identity, great in the community and willing to listen to fans. More than half the battle that.

I’m not sure how or why but there seemed far more mainstream media coverage of the Wolves situation.

It was covered on local news (TV) and TalkSport, both outlets discussed it several times, likewise Forest’s ST increases were discussed and given airtime - although don’t think anything came of that.

Whether it was pushed by fans groups or the media outlets picked it up themselves I don’t know.

You can poopoo what was achieved at Wolves - but the counterfactual is that they have achieved something and with a commitment to ongoing communication/action.

All it takes is for fans to have a better attitude than yours.

What ?

The difference seems to be that wolves appear willing to listen to its fans and react upon their thoughts. As on the other hand we don’t appear to want any fan involvement, won’t listen, and see the fans groups as an hinderance rather than a valuable asset who can have valuable input into making the Matchday experience better for all. They’re not fan centric and have no interest in being so, I doubt the wolves trust would have had any success with our club.

I would add that the club would be wise to change and become more fan focused as there is a fast growing undercurrent discontent that is getting louder and louder, this is going to cause animosity and problems for the club/board in the near future. We’re seeing already it with the foxes trust membership rising and the trust reform group, they’ll ignore it their own peril, trouble is brewing unless they change, or change the people that are making these decisions that show no fan consideration.

Not really. They didn't have much choice but to react somehow.. Their price rises were so horrific they got national news coverage and even then the reaction is a promise not to raise them again next year. Sounds exactly the kind of 'compromise' our board level f**kwits would dish out.

If I may just edit this after looking into it a bit more. Wolves no longer upping the u14 ticket prices given how huge the raises were is actually a big win for their trust. Not at all convinced our board would do the same in similar circumstances.

The Foxes Trust , Union FS and the Official Supporters Club gained some minor wins from the meetings we had with the club following the original Season Ticket & £25 Physical Card Charge announcements

  • Physical Cards were originally free for U12's, this was increased to U18's
  • An extra game was added to number of transfers permitted, originally 4 increased to 5 - however we failed with the request to make the 5 resale & 5 transfer more flexible, as in any combination up to 10 games (this was mainly aimed at the ST's who share an ST & attend roughly half the games each, so they will have had to pay the £25 for a physical card to continue to do this)

We questioned at the meetings why the FCC meeting had not taken place ahead of the price announcements as was usually the case, as we feel the club would have had the opportunity to review their plans, as all fan groups share the same opinions. The Fans Advisory Board will be in place before next seasons prices are set, so consultation MUST take place.

With respect, the trust won’t operate the way it should do if there aren’t changes at board level. You say you are open to change and want to improve the trust … yet aren’t open to any changes at board level. If you compare other trusts around the country to ours, it’s night and day.  This is why there is a reform group.

Come on now let's just all be straight and can you guys just admit the club dont actually give 2 fecks FT.

I've been on the forums years ago and its just a tick box for the club and they have to serve coffees and biscuits and pretend to listen.

This all just proves the point.

I remember being on a works committee like that in my youth and we were told we were going to have to some work which I didn't understand the reason for so I asked Why? and got a vague response so repeated Why?. This went of for 5 or 6 times with no real justification for the work and I was asked to leave. So I did and resigned from it.

It's all been very cosy here for years really. We had it good on the pitch so nobody bar a minority ever pulled the club up on anything. Now that things have evidently gone to pot off the field the piss poor fan engagement is finally being addressed. I've real doubts on whether they'll actually address this though. Keep thinking back to Top's statement after relegation and the rhetoric around the points deduction. Self-reflection never their strong point.

Part of me feels like I shouldn't be critical because i'm not the one giving up my free time but I do think I should be critical because you are supposed to be representing me.

Those are not "minor wins". They are token gestures to keep you off the club's back.

UFS has properly challenged the club as far as they could with regards to the £25 card charge. You've gone as far as you dare without stepping on anyone's toes.

As UFS/OSC/FT have worked together on the £25 card charge producing joint statements and are still looking together for further conversations with the club, not sure how your are determining any differences, its one campaign from us all
