Maybe the player chose not to sign for any of those clubs, maybe he choose to remain a free agent as a prospect.

It is rare, but I have seen it happen. Just because a club or many clubs offer a trial, or contract, not every player has to accept it.

Because Hertford isn’t a pro club, I presume we don’t need to pay any compensation given his age???

This one is gonna HURT.

Would hurt less if he was at the very least on the bench for every single one of our remaining games...

I was originally against adding to the exposure but we’re already cooked.

Only hope is proving that there’s a path to the first team and a year starting in the championship with us is best for his career

I am sure sitting on the bench watching the first team die on their arse and arguing the sh*t with each other will be both the perfect development for him and give him all the reasons he needs to stay.

But if he's on the bench there's a possibility of him getting on the pitch.

He's 15. I think its very unlikely he gets anything meaningful.

I understand that people want a bit of excitement, but throwing a bunch of 15/16 year olds into PL football is insane. Even Rooney was nearly 17 when he made his debut, and was he very physically developed - most of these lads look like a strong breeze would knock them over, let alone elite Premier League defenders.

Monga looks pretty solid but I’d trust the coaches to make a call in the kids best interest. wouldn’t surprise me to see him get twenty mins late on in a few dead rubbers late April/ may

Correct, they will not be a part of the a Academy system, but I guess we would pay a fee plus bonus payments for player progress and a sell on %.

Are we obliged to do that or can we just say ‘tough sh1t’ ?

Nwaneri was 15 when he started in the prem and it's done him no harm. If they are ready they are ready.

And loads of 16 year olds have gone on to be elite players too.

He didn’t start in the prem at 15

Didn't say he needs to start. Honestly if anything at all it would give the crowd / supporters a boost

The wages other clubs have offered Monga are out of reach for us

Logan Briggs is bang average at best and won't play top level football

Louie Page will be the best of the lot

Riley Carr hasn't signed for us he is just on trial

Out of reach ?? At 15 how can it be ?

Rather than heap the pressure on, or argue about the merits of starting him in the first team, can we all enjoy the fact a local lad is starting to do it at the highest level and look like he can go right to the top.

As much misery as the first team are bringing at the moment, I’m excited for one of our own who looks like the sky’s the limit.
Would In prefer he did it for us, absolutely! But if he has to leave, I will enjoy following his career and seeing if he can fulfill the clear potential and play in world cups and champion league.
Good luck to the young lad

Wonder why we offer stupid wages to proper shite and won’t push the boat out for a top class youth prospect.

Well we tried to do that with hamza and choudhury and most people agree that was daft.

We can’t lambast the club for not having a good wage structure then complain when we won’t overpay.

Thanks for your input ruud. Keep playing this team then that's lost 11 from 12 games, forget trying any talented kids in case it gets windy.

I think the balance is accurately valuing a players worth, Vestergaard, Choudhury, etc.

we vastly over paid in wages for and now we’re stuck with them, others we didn’t value high enough and the my left without a fee.

Not saying it’s easy, but when a player comes through who is widely regarded as going to the top, we need to restructure a little and push the boat out.

If he’s as good as they say, we’ll get the money back with excess going forward.

Since when was Hamza ever top class? lol

We overpaid wages to a league one/two player with a good engine
