I owe Leon an apology. Start of the season I called his promotion out as a typical safe move from the club.
 

In reality I’ve not seen our u21s play football like this before. I know there’s lots of individual talent but they look like a really solid group who know exactly what their roles are.

He goes to Man City, there's a chance Pep throws him straight in but I doubt it, probably be a couple of seasons of u21 football (albeit being paid decent for it )

Have to convince him to show what he can do in the Championship and then the big move will come.

Presumably there’s some sort of political sticking point with Monga about a move away or signing a new contract but honestly we’re past the point of that now, this lad has something to contribute towards us trying to survive.

Cant wait for the club to splash £10mil on Ben Doak from Liverpool next summer and give charity minutes to Monga and Evans 🤩. 

 

Wouldnt be surprised if we desperately try to get Trey Nyoni on loan now that he's a coveted big six academy player.

You could, but then he's training and attending every game at multiple levels. He's also got to go to school. Baring in mind the first team is a toxic mess, you can see why it might get too much.

 

Saying that it is very hard to watch last nights game and not think he is good enough, or nearly good enough. There were times he switched off, times the defenses just backed off him, but when he was in the zone he looked special. Defenders in the PL are going to be another level and they aren't just going to let him dance around them. But i would love to see how he adapted to play a team like Man U.

If neither of Monga and Evans end up getting even a single minute of senior football this season the club deserves to have them both be poached

I have no insider knowledge, but there has been too much noise about him and too many itk people telling the same story. Can't blame the kid for wanting to to be coached at, and experience elite level. Be managed by Pep and train with KDB etc every week, or be managed by Brussel Martin () in the Championship next season training with Ayew, Bobby and Hamza.

Massive difference between youth football and Premier league, some of these lads look very talented, but completely different levels.
