Tight everywhere - there's a spare CL place with four teams trying to get it while 3 teams close at the bottom with two relegation spots. 

 

It says how tight it is because next weekend I think all bar two Serie A games are being played at the same time.

Roma lost to Atalanta so the latter qualify and Roma are in a four way battle for the final spot - three of those clubs have had great efforts of seasons compared to Juve. Meanwhile Venezia got a huge win dumping Lecce into the relegation zone (plenty licking their lips at a potential derby v Bari for the first time since 2011).

Sampdoria relegated to Serie C for first time in their history. Funnily enough I was bought their 91-92 Scudetto winning shirt recently and have always had a soft spot for them. I might make it a thing to follow teams in the shit!

I remember them in the first ever European cup final I saw on TV.

Yea I remember watching them a lot on Football Italia in the 90s. There is a Leicester link as well with the likes of Mancini and Sven, and they played in blue. Also had the feel of a similar size club punching above their weight so had the same underdog vibe about them. Sad to see how far they’ve dropped.

Gutted about Sampdoria

 

Went to one of their games as a kid when on a football tour and have followed since.

 

Didn’t think it could get much worse than Lee Sharpe pulling on the famous shirt but blimey they are in a horrendous state now
