I don`t get the problem with the fee, as he is young, English and we are buying from one of those clubs so its not a surprise.

Look at the transfer fees and basically we've traded Maddison for a starting midfield duo of Skipp and Winks.

 

On paper, Maddison is easily worth more than their combined value.

 

But for where we are as a club, that duo are more use to us than Maddison.

Share the frustration Ric but we don’t know that we were interested in Carvalho. You may argue we should have been but that’s another matter.

It was reported by multiple sources we were interested but it was too expensive to do for us....

yes I do get this tbf, Maddison was no use nor ornament when we were scrapping for relegation and was a passenger. Skipp and Winks are an asset when trying to not concede.

But that not true is it? Tribunal hasn't happened and we will do well to get a million up front and we my be lucky to get 4m or 5m with lots of add ons.

 

Do you consider Carvalho wasn't interested?
