An Away Move Posted 25 July 2024 Posted 25 July 2024 He looked so happy in the pre-season photos too. Ouch. 1

DezFox Posted 25 July 2024 Posted 25 July 2024 I would give him a chance personally, must be awful in training, never gets a chance 4

Nolucklcfc Posted 25 July 2024 Posted 25 July 2024 Real shame, hoped he would get a chance this season. 2

Tete flopped and has just gone to Greece. Souttar is championship standard at best and Kristiansen hates the club. Oh and Leeds pulled the plug on Jack Harrison after we let Albrighton go. Lambert09 Posted 25 July 2024 Posted 25 July 2024 (edited) classic! We’re probably still paying stoke instalments for him, then we send him to them on loan, with us paying most of his wages Edited 25 July 2024 by Lambert09 1 3
FoxinNotts Posted 25 July 2024 Posted 25 July 2024 Was absolutely immense in that game away at Newcastle. One man wall. To think if we'd have nicked that goal, right at the end, on the break (completely undeserved, from an attacking point of view, that game) we'd have stayed up! 3

Mind you it probably doesn't help when you start a friendly and stick the ball in your own net cos you can't sort your feet out. 1

CrispinLA in Texas Posted 25 July 2024 Posted 25 July 2024 Fancy paying 15m to 20m for a player no other club was interested in or had heard of from stoke 🙄 1
MPH Posted 25 July 2024 Posted 25 July 2024 He didn’t even play that many games for stoke and people on here were thinking he was the answer to our premier league struggles 2 1

The club felt the squad was strong enough to finish in a decent position (Which a lot of the fan base would have agreed with even post-relegation) Rodgers's refusal to use Vestergaard or Soyuncu left us panic buying a CB at short notice. The jury is still out on Kristiansen; it could be a case of the right player, wrong time. But I would argue we overpaid due to the situation. Tete low risk which had a massive upside if it worked out. 1
