Popular Post Finnegan Posted 30 July 2024 Popular Post Posted 30 July 2024 Quote In October 2021, a 22-year old woman filed a legal complaint against Wahi for violence that resulted in her being incapable to work. She claimed that he had punched her in the nose during an evening out at the L'Entrepôt nightclub in Lattes, Hérault, on the night of 12–13 September a month earlier. In November 2021, investigative reporter Romain Molina revealed an allegation that Wahi had been expelled from Caen's youth academy for pressuring secondary school students to masturbate in front of him in the bathroom. Yeah, this one will happen. 18
stu Posted 30 July 2024 Posted 30 July 2024 If Elye Wahi (21 years old, under contract until 2028) will have to leave RC Lens before the end of the transfer window, it is written that the Premier League will be very well placed. There are now three clubs to negotiate to bring the attacker. We knew that Chelsea had positioned itself, it was now West Ham and Leicester who began the steps to secure the signing of the international hope. The outlines of a first offer addressed to Lens must be defined in the coming hours. Translation of the l’equipe article.

We've signed a work horse Premier League winger on a free signing, we're approaching a Japanese international suspected of being too weak for the Premier League and next up is a known beater of women. The penny's just dropped, Rudkin really has remembered the winning formula. 1 1 30

Almost as if the club is just trying to get enough players to make it through the season and quality isn’t important. Edited 30 July 2024 by Stevosevic

bald reynard Posted 30 July 2024 Posted 30 July 2024 If we really are interested, we should be in the driving seat for this - we're playing Lens soon. I wonder if the match is tied up with the transfer.
kingfox Posted 30 July 2024 Posted 30 July 2024 Finners has already referenced his past issues so no need to go into the details of that. In terms of the football side of things, I can’t say I’m surprised that Lens are willing to let him leave. They signed him last summer for a big fee to replace Lois Openda, he came with big expectations after looking like one of the best striker talents in Ligue 1 while at Montpellier, but throughout last season he failed to live up to expectations. He had many games last season where Lens fans were really disgruntled with his performances, his finishing especially at times was abysmal. He is also the type of striker I wouldn’t really associate with holding the ball up and linking play. He is more of a poacher who relies on quick movement in the box and running in behind. Maybe his price tag at Lens weighed on him too heavily, with pressure affecting his performances. At Montpellier his finishing was arguably one of his strongest assets, while at Lens his finishing at times was very snatchy and became a weak point. 1

Lens: Oh. *awkward silence.* 1
James_lcfc Posted 30 July 2024 Posted 30 July 2024 Didn't we pass on Bowen due to concerns with the background checks we did? Someone with a 'Controversies' section on their Wikipedia surely doesn't require much due diligence!
